Weird habits of a country
I was just reading my travel documents and I thing caught my eye
 I'm going to a little island near Greece that is called Paros and in the documents I read that you cannot flush your toilet paper anywhere on the island. You have to put it in a little bucket next to the toilet I just thought that was a little weird habit  |

Yeah I just hope I won't forget to put it in the bucket, it's not a habit around here so it'll will be hard at first but hopefully the buckets are smell free

Paper is much harder on septic systems, so if the island has a lot of tourists it makes sense...even if it is a little icky.

I guess that you could use a covered pail or something so that it wouldn't smell too horrible.

I used an outhouse for a week...and you'd think it would smell funny, but it was amazing! I would take it over a bathroom...so hopefully the bathrooms there will smell just as nice.
 They also have those things in a lot of bathrooms now for feminine products...so maybe its something like that. They have some sort of chemicals so they don't smell. |

It really doesn't smell bad, honestly. Flushing too much toilet paper can clog up the plumbing, so in my house we try not to flush too much. The garbage gets thrown out frequently so it's not a big deal.
