Tourist Attractions' Gift Shops
Whenever I go to a museum, art gallery, science centre, amusement park...etc., I gotta visit the gift shop. I would always want to buy something from there and everything would be so freaking expensive. Then, I'd settle for something small like a fridge magnet or a keychain or a tiny figurine that's at least $3.99. But of course, it'd have to look nice first. Otherwise, I would buy a postcard from them that represents the place. Gah, gift shops know how to get people to buy stuff.

When I see gift shops I turn the other way - if my bf hasnt already turned me
I cant stand how expensive everything always is but I always fall for the cute stuffed little animals and things. __________________

Ah I know what you mean bout stuff costing soo much! While my sister was in the hospital I wanted to get her a gift and I finally settled on getting her a keychain with her name engraved on it for like 7 dollars! A few weeks later the same keychains are at Walmart for a dollar and 50 cents!

Those places almost always have these thin little regional cookbooks for sale; that's what I always buy and they always cost around $5.

Stuff at gift shops are outrageously priced. I only buy two things from gift shops, a shot glass for my collection, and a plastic cup because at least I know I will use it.

I'm a sucker for The Natural History Museum gift shop in London. I love their mugs and their rainbow coloured rubbers

I'm a gift shop freak Here's what I *always* must buy from any museum/attraction gift shop
- Postcards (especially art galleries) - Pencils - Fridge magnet (you should see my fridge!) - Posters - Erasers That's why whenever I go to London I always bring a bigger suitcase... I buy so much stuff __________________

I got like 20 postcards from the art gallery. I gotta send some out already, they're just sitting there.
Some people like to collect those collectible spoons from these gift shops. They're all like nice and stuff but it's not like you're gonna use them to stir your coffee..... __________________

I'm a sucker for gift shops, too. I'd always buy postcards, and never have any use for them. Usually, I either put them up the wall in my room, or use them as bookmarkers. (Because gift shop book marks are even more expensive. )

I deliberately take as little money as possible to galleries. I've managed to add considerably to the decor in five different classrooms because of my spending habits in the gift shops, and have enough left over for the classroom I have now.
I do still have to go out of my way to avoid passing the gallery of modern art in Glasgow when I'm shopping or travelling to or from work. The museums here are free but it costs me anyway ... though at least I manage to avoid other gift shops now I'm no longer a student. __________________
