If anybody here watches the ABC show "Once Upon a Time", I'm doing a descripitve paragraph about Snow White and what aspects of her should I put in my paragraph.
|
What aspects of the character do you like? Which do you dislike? That's the best place to start.
On the Homework Thread we can encourage you with your homework and we can advise you on how to do your homework...but you've got to decide what to write. We can help but you've got to do the work. |
For the "conundrum" journal prompt, it sounds like you can write about any problem you have faced. Usually journal entries are more like pre-writing, freewriting, etc. In other words, they aren't as formal as an essay or paragraph might be, so there isn't necessarily a right or wrong answer. Feel free to write about a situation you have been in in which you had to decide what is right or wrong, etc.
As far as "Once Upon a Time", I don't watch the show, but any time you have to describe something, you can describe how it looks, how it acts, how it sounds, etc. :) |
What should I write about for my narrative essay for Comp I. Having trouble choosing a topic for the essay.
|
It's always easiest to write about something you know or have experienced. Since this is a narrative, it needs to be recalling the events. I'd suggest thinking about something that has impacted you... like have you ever witnessed an act of prejudice? How did you react? Or have you ever lost someone you love? What happened?

^Carol is right. It's always best to write about something you know. Either an obsession or a great memory. Something or someone that greatly impacted your life, or even the kindness of a stranger. Make it memorable  Hope that helps! :)

I'm doing a definition essay about the word 'courage' for my Composition I class.
My teacher want to put the defined word into this: 1) Define Courage 2) Then put courage into a class 3) Then put courage into characteristics. Example: Happiness is a warm puppy. Happiness - definition warm - characteristic puppy - class |
^ That sounds like an interesting assignment. What question do you have about it?

That does sound interesting. You can define it by its characteristics in a variety of ways. In other words, what does courage mean to you? Is it putting your life on the line for someone else? Or is it simply willingly facing something you fear?
