:yawn: Ok, so um....now that I don't have school and I'm home...could someone please explain to me why my school district finally decided that they should give us random days off of school? :goof: Not that I've been outside or anything, but it looks to me that 1) for the most part, the roads are clear(my road is never clear, it doesn't count.) 2) Most sidewalks would be clear by now. 3) its stopped snowing.

My SD used to do the same thing, only in reverse. If you had too many snow days, they'd lengthen your school year, just because the school board got a certain amount of money for a certain number of school days or something. I know they cancel on account of wind chill, too. Is it really cold where you are? It might be the school board decided that it is too cold for small children to go out for the bus today, and across the board they cancel classes.

Yes, tehy do that too....:rolleyes: I hate that. But I don't think its really that cold out with wind chill...it says "Mostly cloudy late in the morning...then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph" so it shouldn't be that cold out...*shrug* My county is craaaaaaazy. They have no idea what they're doing...Well, I guess that has to do with the whole new superintendent and he's from somewhere that they get more snow, but....:look:
