OWWW! I happen to like my skin thank you

So Ladies.... I bought the Veet Razera kit today in hopes to have clean underarms. Shaving leaves too many cuts and bumps and I thought that this could work..

WRONGO!

It nearly burned my skin off and actually caused it to bleed. It's still burning.

Damn.

Anyone else have this problem and do you reccomend something else besides Veet or Neet to remove hair?

my sister has that stuff but it always looks gross so i never tried it.

maybe you should try nair with aloe...because maybe you have some kind of weird alleric reaction or maybe you just have sensitive skin??

its worth a try..

hope your skin feels better!

I can use Nair on my legs, but it burns a bit, but doesn't bleed.

I do have sensitive skin, but never to the point where a chemical made it bleed. Guess I'll have to try something else.

Ouch! I know the feeling. I've got ultra sensitive skin that gets goosebumps simply by being touched. I stick to shaving my arms and legs, but I think I've only shaved my armpits like 3 times. Mostly every woman I know has gross stubbly armpits that look green from a distance if they don't shave them everyday. And then they've got like 3 hairs coming out of each pore. I didn't want that, so ever since I hit puberty, I've plucked them with my tweezers. Freaks some people out when they hear I do this, but it doesn't hurt and only takes a few minutes. And the result of always having baby smooth skin is worth it for me.

Word of advice: DON'T use Bic "Soleil" razors. They will knick your legs all to crap. I'm not even kidding. I got about a dozen cuts (no exaggeration) using one of their razors once. A new one, too! They should stick to making pens.

Same here too, it sound painful but you get use to it eventually and it looks a lot better than shaving.

I only ever use wax..except under my arms which are very sensitive! in the winter I just close crop with scissors, but in the armless top wearing season like now I shave them in the shower using a baby shower gel to smooth the blade cutting across my skin. Yes I might get the goosebump look but I don't go around with my arms in the air (much! ) and I have no burns or scratching episodes!

I used to do exactly like you LittleMilkJug But I do wax with the new oriental wax institute I found as the wax's not hot so it's also perfect for armpits!

So it's not just me? I got that Veet stuff that you put on before hopping in the shower. You know how in the commercials it stays on? Well, it didn't. So there were bits of my legs that had hair on it and parts that didn't.

I use a Braun Silk Epil similar to this one. At first ir hurted like hell but now I'm used to it and it only takes a few minutes. Veet and similar things are tortures to your skin!!

Nair makes my skin burn and almost bleed just like Veet did to you. Haven't tried Veet yet, and I don't intend to after I just found out what happened to you..
