Mandy Moore - Could Mandy do Broadway?

I was watching this "Salute to Broadway" show on BRAVO channel a LONG time ago and Mandy was one of the performers and she sang " Suddenly Seymour" from "The Little Shop of Horrors"and I remember thinking how awesome she was when I heard her. I thought immediately that this girl needs to be on Broadway.

What do you guys think? And please feel free to post your favorite Broadway musicals. It's kinda like a 2 topic thread...

My fav is " Phantom of the Opera "

I think Mandy would do great on broadway she has the voice and she can dance. My fave is RENT

I've never seen RENT, but I have heard one song from it. " Seasons of Love." I thought it was a great song!

You should definitly see the play it was really great. I bought the soundtrack to it

We met two actors from it at the end and got pics taken with them but i forget there names

I would love to see Mandy do broadway. I think she has the voice and the acting chops to pull it off, and it would be yet another thing to differentiate her from her "group" of popstars, I guess. Even though it's been years since they were all one big group, people still always compare them. I think Mandy could pull her off, and I remember a while ago she had some offers that she was seriously considering taking. I hope those offers are still there.

Absolutely. I wish I would be able to see her, though. I heard she got approached for "Wicked".

Wicked was orignally a book they adapted for Broadway based on the life of the WIcked Witch of the West.

Didn't Mandy do Broadway when she was little? I thought I saw that somewhere.

Mandy was offered the lead in "Wicked" but had to turn it down to to film commitments, though she's stated that she would love to do theater as it is her first love.

She was in alot of productions when she was younger. I've seen clips from her starring role in "Annie" on MTV's Before They Were Stars. Mandy actually hosted that, it was back in her blonde days.
