I just watched the first episode of Victoria, season 2. I don't have TV listings anymore, so I didn't know it was on. Love catch-up TV.

That kind of thing here depends on which channel has the broadcast rights to it. Whichever it is they probably are showing endless repeats! Unfortunately a lot of stuff is broadcast by Sky and I can't see any of that. Like GoT for example.

You don't have cable, Claire?

I haven't heard of "Victoria".

When I travel to England, I like exploring how your television is and what shows you guys have!

There's no cable in this area, most people use satellite for those channels, but we don't as it's very expensive.

Victoria is on ITV1:

Jenna Coleman from Doctor Who fame plays Queen Victoria in her early days as Queen. It's very good.

I'm glad you like our TV, Leanne!

I just had my 1st beer since the party....I feel so guilty. I thought I'd never drink again!!!

Man, I loved Jürgen von der Lippe....he was one of a kind. I guess he's no longer on TV, right?

Okay so I was heading out this morning, automatically checking for my keys, I saw the rubbish lorry coming up the road, and was thinking I needed to hurry to get out of the driveway in time before they got to my house, and I think that was the reason I pulled the door shut behind me, and almost immediately realised I didn't have my keys! I'd put a coat on last night to put the bin out because it was raining really hard, and put my keys in my pocket!

On the plus side I started gardening, whilst I was waiting for my father-in-law to arrive to let me in, and after he left I've cleared away all the brambles and ivy along the fence between us and the neighbour's house.

Really need to tidy up indoors and hoover!

My shoulder's been feeling sore the last couple of days. I keep moisturising it to help the skin recover, any stretching of it is causing the discomfort.

Kim: I hope all is ok with you.

Kia: Glad to hear it!

Claire, your door to your house locks when you shut it? I can't lock the outside of my house unless I put the key I'm so I can't get locked out just from shutting the door use there is a lock bolt! At least you got gardening done!

Me too with the post stitch wound... sometimes it feels like it's stretching or coming apart when it's not and kind of hurts when it's doing whatever it's doing!

Well, at work this morning, someone is doing class activities while I'm there so there comes a part where she turns on this stereo that plays kids singing kid songs and she starts and stops it while the kids dance and freeze. Let me just say, imo, kid music and songs are annoying and the worst thing is they get stuck in my head so I'll be humming " Jimmy crack corn" all morning now,

It's the disadvantage of that kind of lock for sure.

You definitely need your own music playing in your ears!

Glad it's not just me with the pain, then. I think it's because the skin has been stretched and stitched in a new place, and has to recover from that. It's annoying though.

It really is expensive Kia and I know there are things I haven't even thought of. How are you doing?

Stewie been there done that. Hope you didn't get sick again.

Claire I can't believe your door locks like that. It would make me locked out constantly. We go out the garage door, so we always have the opener in the car.

I hope you and Leanne get to feeling better with your shoulders.

Leanne now I'm going to be singing "Jimmy crack corn" all night.

Kim, there is nothing wrong with children's voices singing, but something is annoying about children singing children's songs cause the songs themselves are annoying and yes, I'm still sort of humming it too and the worst part is, I only know the "Jimmy crack corn and I don't care!" line if there are other lyrics, I don't know them. So it's worse!

And then lately in my car on the radio, the music station keeps playing Madonna songs she's not bad, but it's weird to keep hearing so many of her songs compared to other artists I'd recognize.

I agree! I adore kids singing, but some songs are so relentless in repeating the same lines that it can make a person crazy. I remember singing it as a kid, and only remember a couple of other lines.

I love Madonna songs, or any songs that take me back to the 80's. It would be strange to hear so many on the radio though, to me, too. Usually there is a good variety on the radio. I miss living where we actually had radio stations, and stations for whatever mood you may be in.

Kim, unfortunately what I kind of kept hearing in my head over and over was the hobo guy here singing it over and over and it drives Pee-Wee crazy exactly what I was talking about!

When it was the 80's, I remember me and my brothers dancing around to Michael Jackson, with Beat It and Billie Jean and the Thriller album, he was my 80's music memory of the decade. 80's music was always a happy kind of music, before grunge in the 90's made music sound more depressing or negative!

now you've put that in my head right before I try to go back to bed.

Ah, I liked the grunge. I related to the depression music, so it made me feel better. Mostly in the 80's I listened to Hair Metal bands. Bon Jovi (who were actually a rock band), Poison, Cinderella, Ratt, Nelson (Ricky Nelson's twin sons ). I stopped listening to MJ after the late 70's, except when Thriller started MTV.

Kim, I didn't listen to much grunge, but I certainly dressed in the "grunge" look It happened that comfy clothes like jeans, flannel shirts, Doc Martens, not overly brushed and done hair, and tartan skirts it was good the under maintenance look was "in" when I was in high school and couldn't be bothered to over do it in the girly department.

My mom and aunt didn't listen to much music so I didn't get too exposed in the 80's. However, my aunt used to like horror movies because that's how I started watching them on her VCR. She would never admit she liked those movies now, though! But there was no other way for me to watch them..... except that time my mom rented me "The Howling" when I was 7 or 8 cause I wanted to see more wherewolf stuff after Thriller. But that only lasted til the scene with the naked woman came on and she ran in front of the tv and blocked it while my brother was probably 6 and me laughed at both my mom and the fact there was a naked woman

Ahhh, memory lane!

That's awesome it worked out, the timing, for you to be able to dress comfortably.

about the Howling. Cool that your aunt let you watch horror movies sometimes though.

is killing me loading. This will probably double post, too.

Anyway, wanted to respond to you, and say HEY! I've only been able to post on a few threads today, and at completely different times of the day.
