Hi there, Kim! My nephew is lovely!

School doesn't suit everyone, Kim. I loved further education at 16 years old as I was actually with people who wanted to learn. It was a very happy time for me in some ways. The exam stress was bad, and I was being bullied on the bus to school, so it wasn't all good, but for the first time I had a large circle of friends.

It's great we can all be ourselves.

Did the pain pill work, Leanne?

Edited as I see you haven't taken it yet!

Also Kim did you know Netflix have taken on a new season of Lucifer?

Hi Leanne! Definitely get out of bed if it will make you feel better. Mine were Julia and Pam. And one hateful boy...I can't remember his name. Funny we still remember their names. I'm glad you felt not judged there.

I've never seen full frontal nudity on basic TV stations-like NBC, CBS, etc. I'm not talking about cable channels. I know they made a HUGE deal about a butt being shown on regular TV, by NYPD Blue.

Claire, I'm so glad! It sounds like you had a really great time seeing him. I'm glad you ended up in school with a large circle of friends. I know it caused you a lot of stress at times. It shows you're a strong person, to make it through.

I never was only accepted by one group-I had friends that were what we called "preppies"-the honor roll students, partyers, druggies, athletes, geeks/nerds etc. I had friends, good friends, in all the group. I guess that's where I learned to accept other people for who they were.

Hey that’s cool your high school groups selected everyone as friends! I remember mine being groups I was in no group. However, I was in art class, stagecraft, tv and film and yearbook, so I guess those were my speciality areas.

I totally remember the names of people who weren’t nice or bullying to me, so the following names are never people I can either marry with those names or would have named my own kids *Ryan, Charla, Brie, Sonya, Tina, Erik, Dustin* Dustin especially is kind of a stupid name anyway with the word Dust in it!

I remember fighting with a girl called Joanne at recess, like a physical fight, but then I also remember us walking together to play at my house but then also, I used to get into fights with my best friend too, not word fights, but physical

Kim, (you probably didn't see my edit of my last post) but Lucifer has been renewed by Netflix!

That was the most stressful time of my life, and I hardly ate for 6 months. I hope I'll be there for my kids though, if they go through something like that.

The worst bully I ever knew was called Peter. I don't have weird associations with that name though, as I know other people with that name now.

I was never in a group either, Leanne. And in sixth form (as we call it) didn't have such groupings that I was aware of.

Im really glad you have a good life now, Claire and I’m also glad I know you

I don’t know anyone now with those names. However, Tina Fey changed my mind on girls with the name Tina cause she was super friendly to me when she was busy filming things

Looking back, I remember there were some people that really tried to be kind to me too during school. Particularly a girl named Camille who would walk home with me and even invited me to her house... which I really should have accepted but got too scared to do it at that time Now she is a high end wedding photographer in Vancouver!

I think Lucifer is on my Netflix but not sure. I’m almost done with “Bones” I think I’m on episode 14 in the final season! Then after that, I plan to watch Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt! Did you watch all that show, Claire?

Claire, I was just coming to tell you that! I'm insanely excited by this. I just read it on the TV thread on EL&I.

Oh hopefully things will be easier for your kids. And I know you will be there for them. It's good you didn't have a weird association with that name, Peter.

Leanne, I loved Art, working in all my school libraries, and was on Yearbook, too, We have a lot in common.

I never got into any physical fights. I'm too much of a wimp for that.

Ugh, I hate the name Cindy. I was bullied, and threatened, as an adult by one. I've never been able to like a person with that name since.

I haven't seen Lucifer on Netflix, Leanne. It's not on ours, though I'm sure it will be soon.

I just finished the last one of the new season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Leanne. I love it!

Lucifer here is available on Amazon Prime, so it will change things having it on Netflix from season 4, but I'm really happy. I love Netflix more. My husband told me the news last night, but I was heading to bed, so I didn't get to share it with you.

Wow! You must have watched a lot of Bones, Leanne!

I'm sorry you regret not trying to be more friendly with her, Leanne. I understand though, I probably would have been the same way. I'm terrible at reading people's emotions, at least now I'm aware of that.

Thanks Kim. It's a time of their lives that is hard to navigate.

I hit Peter with a book on his head on two occasions I think. One time he complained to the teacher. She didn't even look at him, and said, 'Good!'. That made me feel really good!

Cool, Kim! Wow, we did have similar interests in high school, that’s cool! Even both on the Yearbook teams

What’s funny about my physical fights, I never thought about me getting possibly hurt and I know my best friend was stronger than me. But for some reason, probably cause I had no fear of getting into it with my three younger brothers, I had no fear of fighting girls either. I grew out of it after age 10 though. Never fought a girl after that age, and only last fought my brother when I was 21. (Which is kind of bad but whatevs)

Kim, one of my aunt’s name is Cindy.

that reminds of a guy I didn’t mention called Jeremy. He was so obnoxious when we were 16. Once I was sitting behind him in a class and he made a stupid comment and then leaned back in his chair toward me with his arms behind his head. My instinct was to grab his elbows and pulled back on them to hurt him a little and the teacher actually commended me another time he was bugging me about something with him boasting about being big or strong and I muttered to him “physically, but not mentally” and he admitted that was a good comeback, he couldn’t say anything back to me

Oops I double posted

Whoops, Leanne!

I love it when the teachers realise how awful they are too, and back you up!

Claire, it is indeed a very hard time for them. I can only imagine the pressure.

at you hitting Peter with a book on the head, and the teacher backing you up.

We did a lot of the same things, Leanne.

I would have fought, if I could. That's funny, about the guy not coming back at you.

It's one of my favourite memories from school! Fortunately I never saw him again after I left that school at 16. It was enough he made my life hell for 5 years.

I want to go to bed but my daughter is out with friends, so I'm going to wait up for her to be dropped off by her friend's mum. I think I'll go and get ready for bed while I'm waiting, though.

Ugh, 5 years? That is purely awful.

Yep, being ready for bed will help you get there shortly after she gets home.

Oh boy, it’s kinda hard when your kids are young and energetic to be out all night and you just want to sleep much earlier get cozy, but don’t fall asleep Claire. Do your kids have a night curfew for non-sleepovers?

It’s 2 pm and I still haven’t eaten anything, I was seeing double so I had a cup of coffee. But not my good ones cause I didn’t want to open another bag when I forgot my previous opened bag at work!

I might get pho or Chinese for dinner and have some beef toquitos right now in my freezer!

I’m happy we had a fun chat together about high school, fights, and annoying people from our past! It’s good to vent about those!

The issue has never come up before Leanne, I've not even thought of a curfew yet. But still it's not just the girls: they have an adult with them, so it's not quite the same.

I think you should eat something!

It's been fun. It's hard to find a time when we're all on at the same time!

Kim. I'm all ready now, just writing my diary...
