Wait......do we know this will happen??

I give CC a second chance at resurrecting the Lone Gunmen. Do it right, this time!

I would definitely dream of seeing a really passionate MSR reunion kiss for the new season

And I guess this is the official season 11 thread? So I thought this would be the best place to post this

The X-Files’ biggest liability at this point is simple: creator Chris Carter

The common sentiment from most journalists (and a lot of fans as well?) seems to be that CC needs to step back, what do you guys think?

Hmmm, interesting.

I have to say: after watching S10 the 1st time, I would have agreed.

But after rewatching it in one swift go, the storytelling was actually pretty consistent.

....and 10 epis will give them more time. It will be less rushed.

All the cool kids hate on show runners nowadays. I think season 10 is growing on people once they can see it for its own merits instead of comparing to the X-files they had been thinking about for the last 10 years. I say you don't change the captain in the middle of the voyage. Let him finish what he started and we will judge then. Sure is a risk but then what is the point of being a fan if you can't wait it out? Just my two cents.

CC once created two wonderful characters, Mulder and Scully, and a wonderful story along with them. So lets trust this man!

Imo, he has created the show and its Universe....so, if anyone had the right to screw it up, it's him. But he won't, don't worry.

I think the ten episodes will make a big difference My Struggle ended up being a bit too condensed, it really needed to be a two-partner. I think that they didn't have enough experience with writing a season with just six episodes to tell the story, but I'm sure that they'll take lessons from what did and didn't work in season ten

And I'm getting the blu-ray of season 10 next month I'm looking forward to watching it all again and seeing if my opinions have changed, at the moment I loved the first four episodes, hated Babylon (sorry ), and wasn't that crazy about the finale, although it had its moments

Well, if Chris Carter can get his game on and write scenes like this

I'd like this sort of M&S writing again for them. Chris Carter used to write ok stuff but my fave writers were Morgan and Wong and that other guy that wrote with Wong,

Yeah this time around, I trust that with 10 episodes, they can write a good long storyline along with Monster of the Week ones, I'm a MOTW type girl, always favoured the stand alone creature episodes back in the day!

Hi Netti! I've never met you before but glad you came here!! Welcome! I like your wishlist!

That's one thing I noticed in Season 10 compared to most of the rest of the series, but I'm not sure why Mulder and Scully had so many scenes apart from each other when the dynamic of them working together was the big part of why the show worked! In "Babylon", they weren't together alot, I mean who cares about seeing them working with Miller and Einstein if they were not working or sharing scenes with each other. I guess that is why that episode is boring to me mostly, except the last scene,

Always liked the the concept of the black oil! Did anything ever really come of that after a while though??

Seeing wishlists makes me look more forward to the 10 new episodes on the way!!!!

I hear lots of people are active on fan forum and then leave and then sometimes come back even years later! Is it that addicting? this is my first round... I haven't left yet!

And who can leave now... exciting X-Files stuff is about to get going again, watching them start filming, speculations, DD and GA Twitter flirting , and the new season when it Airs!
Good time to be here!

I was gonna say that Krycek was killed (right?) but since CSM regained his eyeballs and skin since becoming a skull once, I guess I can't say, why not see Krycek again in Season 11? Everything is plausible in the X-Files universe!

i was a big x file fan before so many years. i never thought it would come back. but then i saw the pics from filming season 10 and i was curious.
my old love is back
and i am a big mulder and scully fan. but after i did watching the old episodes again, i began to ship doggett and reyes too. and i really like Reyes
its great to see that scully has such a good friend like her.

and yeah i have nothing against krycek. i liked the bad boy. but skinner killed him. so he would not come back

Lol yes that annoyed me too, in Babylon they are working with other people, and then in the finale they get basically no scenes together at all until the very end when Scully gets to an unconscious Mulder's car If it was a longer season then I wouldn't mind, but it was frustrating to see M/S separated so much in those final Chris Carter episodes when we only had a limited 6 episode run. But then he did the same in the second movie as well, fans had been excited to see M/S back together again to work as partners, and instead they were both off doing their own thing
