You are correct! I know it feels like it shouldn't be there but what can I say... I enjoy it. :D

Thanks for the welcome. :)

kiamay 06-23-2011 04:41 AM

 Well, nothing against soaps, but a German one, that kinda surprised me  Are you from Germany?

JayDeeMac 06-23-2011 12:44 PM

Nope. I'm from Mexico but there's a fandom on the soap and many people who do translations and subs on it. Though since I have been watching it for months now I have picked up some German. I'm trying to learn it in my spare time but it's turned out to be a lot harder than learning english. :(

 The crazy things we do for shows.

Thank you JayDeeMac for the welcome!

Name: Nick
Age: 30
Location: Michigan
Fave Movie: Kill Bill
Fave Tv Show: X-files
Who is your favorite character: For now I will say John Doggett
What is your favorite season: Season 5? Definitely a difficult question.
What is your all time favorite episode: I really like the episode where Mulder and Krycek are in the Russian gulag, and the ep when the diplomatic pouch is intercepted and Mulder and Krycek (who becomes controlled by the black oil) are traveling all over the place.
Anything Else: Listing favorite episodes is a lot of fun, and very difficult. I just recently finished watching the entire series from the beginning and it was an absolute blast. I watched it all when it originally aired, but I did miss episodes so this recent trip down memory lane also exposed me to episodes I had never seen before. I definitely love this show and look forward to getting into cool conversations with other fans.

I love it too, Star Trek is great. Frasier is so cute. I pretty much want to transport my classes back to the 90s. My own English teacher made us study reality tv...

hehehe, they HAVE to watch X Files :D At least it will be interesting :D

Wow... a German soap somewhat popular in Mexico... :thud: That really surprises me :D Well, and I have to agree, German is a lot harder than English. Mostly because our sentence structure is so flexible. That is what leads to all the different cases.

Welcome Nick! Nice username you chose there  I re-watched some seasons too just a few months ago and discovered eps I hadn't seen yet. It was great :yay:

Jypsi, minus the history we have the same subjects :D

JayDeeMac 06-27-2011 04:04 PM

Welcome to the board Nick! Hopefully you'll enjoy it here

Name: Suzanne or Suze for short if you prefer
Age: 30
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Fave Movie: Some Like It Hot or the old version of Pyscho
Fave Tv Show: X-Files, Big Bang Theory, Desperate Housewives, Quantum Leap
Who is your favorite character: Fox Mulder
What is your favorite season: Ooh, tough question but I'm gonna go with Season 2
What is your all time favorite episode: End Game
Anything Else: I got into the X-Files later than most people I know - I didn't start watching it 'til Season 3 but I then went back and started from the very beginning so I could figure out the relationships etc throughout the show.

Eugene Tooms 07-01-2011 10:12 AM

Like I said, I just watched the entire series and Patrick did an amazing job, considering he was basically replacing mulder. Scully and Mulder totally made the show, but I was really impressed with Doggett. He brings a honest, believable feel to the show.

Welcome Suzanne! And wow yet another Scot! And another Glaswegian to boot!!! Amazingly on this one board you are now like the 5th or so person from Glasgow to show up here (myself included)

You have two classic films there and I'm a huge fan of all of your TV shows, in particular Quantum Leap
