Honestly I think it’s only a matter of time before schools here at least close until the surge is over, it’s day 3 of coming back from break and we’re already short staffed in our district, over 600 teachers and staff called out because they have COVID

We have one of my close staff members just test posditive, but otherwise so far we are doing pretty well.

I’m actually surprised they opened Kate, but apparently they are working on getting students and staff at home rapid tests and masks

We got some more snow.

The school will do rapid tests if we show up, so it is kindof a catch-22. But if we get it from work they pay us for the entire time we are out.

Cathy, our school district is doing that too, I think they just agreed to an additional 5 days if you have to take off for COVID reasons

We have 17 positive cases at my school....

I have no idea how many positive we have at their school all I know is we had over 1000 teachers/staff in the entire district out this week which I think can’t continue like this, like eventually they are going to run out of subs and teachers/staff to cover for the absent staff members

Someone told us to bring our computers home this weekend as they are debating about going online, but so far we haven't had to.

I haven’t heard anything about our district either but hopefully they don’t wait until Sunday or early Monday morning to let everyone know they are going to remote/distance learning

It does suck but I think it might be just a few weeks instead of the whole semester/year like last time

But we all thought that last time and look what happened.... we didn't go back for a year.
