Chad on Home Of The Brave

Murray, best known in the role of Lucas on the hit TV show “One Tree Hill,” was instantly attracted to his character’s personality. “Jordan’s a high energy, free spirit who likes to keep it real light and play around, even in Iraq, but at the same time he’ll do anything for his brothers in arms,” says Murray.
Once on the set in Morocco, where he and his cast-mates were thrust into an intensive mini-training for actual combat, Murray got a whole new perspective on things. “Going through our own boot camp and then shooting these completely grueling war scenes you realize how much, much tougher it must be for the young men and women who are really going through it. I have such extraordinary respect for them,” he says. “One thing we really discovered is the camaraderie that comes out of that. The three of us developed a very, very strong bond of brotherhood that I think reveals that these aren’t just anonymous soldiers fighting a war but real human beings who care deeply about life and each other.”
Helping to seal that bond was director Irwin Winkler. “This movie was a phenomenal experience for me because of Irwin,” Murray adds. “He brings out the humanity in each and every character, and because of how much he cares, you really just want to give and give to help him get the very best shot.”

Thanks for the new thread!

I remember watching this and then always stopping it before he died...it took me like a year to finally see that bit! I still don't like seeing it now tbh even though I know it's not real!

I remember watching to a point where Jessica Biel's character was in rehab to get better, but that's about it

Finally a new thread, right?

We should! I'd have to find where I can watch it though. My brother and I watched it on Netflix when it came out, but I don't think its on there anymore.

I wonder if Chad would be interested in doing another military movie, fully this time.

I hope so, tbh! Even if it's just for traveling reasons (like this one, where they shot in Morocco)

I have to find my dvd first

I need to find the time Unemployed and I'm still scratching around for time. Maybe I need to lay off of Tumblr

If given the opportunity to fully showcase his acting abilities full-time in another military/action film, I think Chad will do a fantastic job! He hasn't really been given much of a chance except for this movie and House of Wax, right?

I believe that in his new works (Renee and The Carrier), he's probably shown a lot of growth as an actor. Didn't Chad say that he went to some acting classes during his down low time a few years back? I'd be surprise if he didn't seem better in those two new films
