What a good episode that was!
White Balance was PHENOMENAL, though. I really loved that episode. I think it was my favorite this season. __________________

Showdown was also excellent. The final scene of The Road Home is one of my favourite Danny Martin moments. And I really enjoyed More Than This. Season 4 was a good season. I enjoyed the Martin's addiction storyline while it was happening but it ended too abruptly. In The Road Home he was completely over the edge and a week later he was fine and it was never mentioned again after he thanked Danny (I know it may have been longer in 'show time', but it was no more than two or three weeks). Yeah, I think so too. It could have been explored more in-depth and later on in future seasons just to show that he has continued to struggle w/ his addition. There were many storylines on the show that were just dropped suddenly and it really annoyed me.

There seems to be a big body of opinion out there that WaT went off the tracks badly after Season 3. However, I beg to disagree.
While, I will admit that it was not quite up to the standard of the first three Seasons I don't think it was that much less. For me it went off the rails from Season 5. The Road Home is right up there among my favourite epiosodes ever - there is great team involvement - yes, even Viv!! - a warmly compelling human MP story and proof that Sam still cared enough about Martin as a friend (suddenly in S5 it appeared as if they hardly knew each other!) to get to the vottom of his pain-killers addiction. |

Series 4 was a very good series.
And i agree about Road Home. One of my all time favourite episodes. __________________
