Possible Board Closure: PLEASE READ.
 

The situation: Dire.

The reason: Admin are starting up another round of that perennial family favourite, "The Board with the least amount of traffic gets closed forever."

The rules: Everybody rolls the dice to see which Board has a low traffic count. The Board with a high traffic count, wins, goes onto next round. The Board with the low traffic count, loses, goes bye bye.

Instructions: Posters who love Late Night TV tell all their friends about this Board. Friends come in their droves, find out how cool it is, post alot and form lasting friendships with other posters. Current posters make a concerted effort to maintain a higher level of posting (100 posts a week, Eek!) on an ongoing basis. NOTE: Attempts to post like a wild banshee for a week or two are seen as feeble by the Admin, who unfortunately are smart enough to see through such tragic attempts.

To Win: Post regularly, often and with a skerrick of intelligence (as we have all been doing) and the Board will remain open. Failure to do so will result in Board closure.

Do we have 100 posts a week? I mainly only post on the rove thread [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

Unfortunately we are nowhere near 100 posts a week, but we have found out that we are exempt for this round of evaluations, as we are less than 6 mths old. But we need to somehow improve before the next evaluation or we will definitely close.

Where are all the Leno, Letterman and SNL fans!!?!?!

Actually for about two weeks straight we were pulling very close to 100 posts a week. Mid March - Early April. I dunno what happened. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

2 weeks ago it just dropped off. For 4 days in a row, there was only 2 posts a day, 1 of them mine!! Even our regular posters seemed to disappear---Come back please!

I am no ashamed, I will beg if necessary.

Well the results are in.

Sigh.

We averaged around 30 posts a week, that's 70 posts below the required minimum of 100 a week.

Sigh again.

I really don't know what to do people!!!

This board only came about after it was requested on the requests board, and now we don't have the posters supporting it.

Please guys, we have 6mths til the next evaluation, where we will no longer be exempt from closure, please do everything you can to keep this board open.

Just one post a day from 15 of you will be enough!!!
