As an acknowledgement of their father’s recent job-related difficulties and their parents’ long overdue time away together, Joan, Kevin and Luke choose to surprise Will and Helen with a spa weekend getaway. Meanwhile, the less than socially adept Joan and Luke muddle through their plans to throw a party.

David Clennon ("The Agency," "thirtysomething") and Jay Thomas ("Love and War," "Murphy Brown") guest star.

Looking forward to this! Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it Fri as I have plans [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] but I'm tape it and enjoy. Hee.

I'm just hoping that it is actually on in my area this time. Last week it was interrupted by some childrens hospital special. *growls* and was preempted until 2:35 in the morning.

I'm looking forward to this episode though. I saw a preview for it, it made me laugh.

Here's a summary I got from Yahoo.

The Girardi kids surprise their parents with a spa weekend getaway, although Will's (Joe Mantegna) constant worry about his job status makes the trip anything but relaxing. While gone, God encourages Joan (Amber Tamblyn) to throw a party -- where she and Adam (Christopher Marquette) discuss their recent kiss.

i really need to stop reading the spoilers for this show. makes the wait SO much harder! gotta go set the vcr!

Wait...are they...are they together? What? They are, right? Or maybe not? They can't do this! Last week it was so perfect. So perfect.

I thought it centered a little too much on the party, but that's alright. I felt so bad for Adam. This is so sad for him, first friends then she recks the project, then she kissed him then she's dancing with another guy after he wanted to dance with her, now they're friends, but are they more? I'm as confused as he is.

Yay for Kevin being happy!

When are we going to get some Luke/Grace?

its on right now, but wait, she was dancing with another guy? who was she dancing with? i know im gonna find out in less than an hour but im just really sad now and im really impatient. who does she dance with?!?

Oh My...The ending was emotional. But why isn't Joan ready?

She was all about finding a boyfriend earlier in the season...

But I guess Adam means too much to her to ruin anything unless she is totally ready...

The party was out of control. Wow, so many people!

But I get why the party needed to be held. Because of the delay would have caused the death of the cops if they had been nearby!

Cute Boy God and Joan...Whoa! Too bad he's GOD LOL!

I LOVED THE SHOW!

I loved how Will and Helen had some couple time...

I liked the episode. It definately still left the possibility for Joan and Adam to get together. For the first 45 minutes I kept on thinking "Is God trying to get Joan and Adam together?" then I realized he is just trying to force her to confront how her and Adam's relationship has changed because she was trying to act like nothing happened.

Also, jumping up and down when I heard a Sam Roberts song. Hearing him on the show put me in good spirits.

ETA: I really loved Helen in this episode. I don't know what it was but she seemed really funny and adorable. She cracked me up.
