Yeah, season 5 is what got me excited for Riverdale again after a lackluster season 3 and 4. The Stonewall Prep storyline was good, but a lot of the other stuff involving the war between the Serpents and the Ghoulies, and the Gargoyle King storyline dragged a little.

I didn't remember the flowers Archie bought her.

it's funny that s5 got you interested again because out of the 6 seasons it's my least favorite.

yeah but I stopped shipping barchie for awhile I actually didn't ship them again until.I rewatched during hiatus after s5a and I was mad over my otps but the writing that season was bad barchie was the highlight of the season though! but at least I ship them again now.

Yeah same with liking season 6 as a whole more than season 5

liked the powers storyline too

it was cool

most of the 2nd half of season 5 I wasn’t too fond of like I said before

yeah I was pretty bored with s5 after barchie ended even with one of my otps together because of the writing tbh it felt like they didn't know what to do but s6 was a lot more interesting and seeing everyone work together was great!

also barchie....

yeah that's one of the biggest reasons I loved s6 and ofc barchie but I loved seeing them all band together to take down an enemy.

Just finished re-watching Ghost again almost an hour ago after another Barchie fan re-watched it recently and made me want to re-watch it because it’s one of my favorite romance movies

But we both agreed that Betty mourning for Archie after 6x18 reminded us of the way Molly mourns for Sam in Ghost

Oh, you did? I guess you gave up on them after a while? I admit, I did the same when I thought that Riverdale was set on Varchie and Bughead. But after Cole and Lili broke up, and after we started getting some subtle Barchie moments in season 4, I started holding out hope. I agree, Barchie was the highlight of season 5.

logging in for a minute to answer this. no that's not why, I've been cheated on so the cheating storyline upset me but then I rewatched during hiatus after 5a and all my feelings came back but also my otps are bughead and varchie so.... but the point is I started shipping them again so now I ship all three couples which helps a lot tbh. they definitely were the highlight plus some other things I won't mention but overall the writing wasn't good.

s6 was just better overall imo. that scene in 5x08 was so sweet and romantic and definitely felt like more than fwb.

I have a lot of different opinions probably than you guys since my otps are different but what matters is I do love barchie a lot now.

now I'm gone until monday! it's hard staying offline istg.

ps sorry if anything I said came off as anti, not my intention at all I just wanted to explain why I stopped shipping for a bit and why I started again.

And Unchained Melody

I associate that song with Barchie

With the original version of the song coming out coincidentally in 1955 which season 7 will take place in I think it would be a perfect choice to have it play for a Barchie scene

I guess they could kind of cheat and also play the Righteous Brothers version even though it came out in the 60s
