This was so confusing and kind of a letdown. First of all,how the hell did he know about Fred and Hermione? More than that,how did he know about Polly and Jason being cousins? What did he even get out of cleansing the town when his family was killed and an innocent man was killed because of it?

He's such a minor character and Veronica already accused him of being BH.

This episode was absolutely amazing. Veronica was a certified bad ass in the episode and I loved her rebelling against Hiram and Hermoine to help out Archie's dad. Honestly, I was a little critical of the writers not developing Veronica in the earlier episodes of S2 but I am starting to like her more and more and I can't wait to see more of Veronica's dark side in the future. Also, I didn't mind the Black Hood reveal but my god, that heart-wrenching scene between Jughead and FP Jones stole my heart. I felt so bad for Jughead. He is just in a world of pain at the moment and you can see it in his eyes. Hopefully, the future narrative will make things, a little easier for Jughead to adjust to his personal circumstances. Lastly, the kiss between Archie and Betty was like magic. So glad, that it finally happened on-screen. Personally, I rate this episode as one of the best ones that we've had in a while. Loved it!!!!

This ep was at least on the eventful side so not a complete snoozefest.

I agree that the BH reveal was very underwhelming and that this is probably not the end of the story. Jughead’s voiceover seemed to heavily imply it too.

Likes:
- Cheryl was an entertaining type of cray-cray again.
- The Blossoms on the whole were entertaining with their campy gothic vibes. “You should have drowned her like a kitten” or whatever it is that grandma Blossom said.
- Toni is still super pretty and cool.
- Sparks of the Jughead I like seemed to be there in the first scene when he was writing his bad prose and scoffing at Secret Santa.
- Josie’s and Kevin’s voices sounded very nice in that song they were singing. This is the second song on this show I actually liked (the first one being the one Pussycats did way back in early s1 [google tells me it was called All for Me]).

Mehs and dislikes:
- Cole’s emoting is hit or miss, the latter being far more common imo (which, I know, is an unpopular opinion, given a lot of ppl seem to love his acting). Wasn’t feeling his heavy emotional moments this ep at all. He was really good somewhere towards the end of last season when he was practically homeless and trying to call his mom only to be further let down. So he does have it in him to be convincing, it just doesn’t come out too often.
- Jughead going dark is an interesting idea, but mutilating ppl is taking it too far for my taste. Wish they hadn’t gone there. I was really looking forward to his sl with the Serpents but so far I haven't been enjoying it much outside of his interactions with Toni. Maybe it gets better.
- Romance drama. Idc who dates whom, they all bore me anyway, but Beronica better be ok. If things get messy between them I’m going to really hate it.

Pops is just in the show too much to just be a side character. Maybe he has something to do with the murders? Somehow?

Veronica and Jughead definitely seemed to notice there was something going on between B/A. I hope she finds out soon and cuts some bitches.

Archie and Betty are BLAHHHHH. Like, Archie giving her the little love glances just… grosses me out. I’m sorry. I really cant stand them together in a romantic way. Why cant a guy/girl just be friends? On top of that they were SO RANDOM and out of nowhere I just find it so strange they were literally nothing for 8 episodes and now suddenly there are feelings there? Its just DUMB. Then in the car, she just kisses him out of the blue? HUH?!!??!?! I’m so confused. WHY THE HELL. Since when does Betty have feelings? Like, sure, she had them back in 101/102 but since then? NADA. So to just randomly have them kiss? It makes no sense and she didnt even know Archie’s feelings. Why cant the show build them up more of they wanna go in that direction? I am just confused AF. This storyline just needs to be over and done with. It sure seems the writers are trying to blow through it. QUEEN CHERYL PLEASE EXPOSE THE LIARS! And this black hood storyline is/was just dumb to me. I’m sorry but all the calls to Betty is really cheesey. Why would he be calling her? The only interesting part of their storyline was them being chased by the janitor guy. Surely he’s not really the black hood is he? Would that be the end of that storyline so suddenly and easily? The ending with her holding the hood made me think it wasn't done.

Speaking of Cheryl, she’s a nut job! And who cares about Penelope? But at least she’s entertaining. Cheryl’s grandma saying she should have drowned them, wtf!

VA are so dang cute. I love that Archie confided in VERONICA about his dad. He always opens up to her about things. It was adorable when Veronica began to feel guilty about her money because of Archie’s situation. She cares about her bae so much. Stealing her moms money though? Yikes. But this is why I love her, because she’s not black and white. Poor confused Archie being all hurt and sad by Veronica with her touching him. Veronica’s gift to him was so sweet….

Archie’s gift to Veronica!!! “A&V Forever” SO CUTE. I can’t believe he got that for her! And it was after she got the gift for him because earlier he said he didn’t have anything. So that says a lot that he kissed Betty and still go that for her.... When Veronica told him that she loved him and kissed him under the mistletoe. OMG they were so sweet. “I need you in my life. In other words, I love you too, Archie Andrews.” AND THE SNOW FALLING. Okay Archie, now you just need to tell V the truth. Obviously he feels guilty. But did he feel something in the kiss with Betty or not? And who the F is taking pictures of them???

Cole and Skeet (FP and Jughead) have way to much chemistry to just be father and son. (did i say that?) Anyways I loved their storyline a LOT. Jughead saying they were going to take out Penny was a bit far though. Toni is at the top of my list though standing behind Jughead all the time. But WTF WAS WITH THE CUTTING HER ARM SCENE, ARE YOU FOR REAL? That is ****ed up. I don’t like who Jughead is turning into though. This is why he needs Betty in his life! Betty’s gift for Jughead was really adorable. He called his beloved! <3 Now tell him about the Archie kiss!

Kevin and Josie were barely in the episode. I am gonna need more of them.

This episode was good, but the revealing of the BH was just such a disappointment.
I have this feeling that he wasn't really the BH... like he could've been forced to pose as him or something. It just seems unbelievable imo.

I mean if he really was the BH then that's just not a good reveal. Considering he was already suspected and I would've thought that Archie looking into his eyes would be the clue.

I must've missed this cuz I don't remember seeing this When did this happen??

In the woods, when Penny said that bit about how they cant abandon a serpent or whatever. They say her tattoo doesn't make her a serpent and then they grab her arm and she screams. Its obvious they were cutting off her tattoo or whatever. So messed up.

There is no way the BH storyline is over. Based on Jugheads little voiceover and then the flash to the eyes, no way.

I completely agree. I'm really disappointed in Jughead. If he actually went there he really crossed the line. That's violent and nasty.

Innocence

The BH reveal was super, super lame. The creepy janitor is cliche and boring and it didn't actually make any sense, so I hope it's a fakeout PLL style.

Betty and Archie are like brother and sister and it creeps me out when they try and make them do romantic scenes. It didn't seem like Archie was super into it when they kissed, Betty definitely made the move and I'm not sure he did much more than react to her.

Cheryl's scenes were really random and felt like they were just shoved in. She's the real MVP, so they need to up their game on that.

Jughead going rogue was interesting if not predictable. I'm into it anyway.

Veronica and Archie were cute but that fake snow was not.
