loved this finale.

i think at the time it sucked because we weren't sure if the show was getting renewed and i know as an lp fan there were a lot of things cut so it was a bit underwhelming, but looking back on it, i actually thought it was an amazing finale.

the entire thing was really well done, starting with nathan worrying about haley and we see the bracelet floating in the water and then it comes back to that at the end, that was a really daunting moments.

i loved all the lp moments, even though they were small they were cute. lucas saying she looked nice and the shared glances during the vows, and of course the last scene "and then there were two."

i also loved the bp and bl scenes even though they were sad. sophia killed this episode. her "why don't you ever let me all the way in?" was sO SO SO SO good. she delivered that flawless. also the "he's on the door peyton! he's on the damn door under me!" that was also a very good scene.

i do think brooke was overreacting a tad. i think she had a right to be upset of course, especially about the lp kiss, but she did not have to be so horrible to peyton. its not like lp cheated again or were sneaking around on her, all peyton did was admit she still loved him. i don't think that deserved peyton being cut out.

and brooke did mention the episode before that she felt independent without lucas so idk, i kind of felt like she she was only angry because of peyton betraying her in a way, not because of her actual feelings for lucas.

the nh wedding was really nice, i loved the song picked out for them. the rachel moments were great too with cooper.

and that ending of course, was very amazing! haley screaming nathans name was chilling. and "babe I'm gonna leave you" was one of the best song choices on the show iMO.

The Brooke and Lucas scene was really electric. It's been argued many times that it was more of a Chad/Sophia emotions because this was the first time she was able, artistically, get out all the frustration and really be able to just put her personal emotions into her work. Because I think it worked better with those real, raw emotions. Mark said that they were going to do a different scene but Sophia was so ready to get through the scene and her emotions were there they the scene was filmed out of order for that moment.

It was a really great episode. The show really did a great job of making the wedding out to be a real wedding. Having bridal party shots with haley and her brides maids. They had episode stills of the guests sitting at various tables. And it was just a really nice gesture to a show that had touched so many lives in such a short period of time.

And yeah, again, another bible season. The show was always on the bubble until post Season 6 I think So yeah, it was frustrating to think that Nathan would just die.

However, the CW promos spilled the beans when James was on the promos with Joy and Chad and everyone else, so we knew he'd survive. It was just a matter of what would be left of him, so to speak.

I remember when this aired, we really got close to cancellation but thanks to fans, the E! SOS poll where we won and the fact that it was a crazy cliffanguer, we came back.
