I agree with most of what was mentioned above except I actually did like the addition of Julian, but I think he should've been introduced in S5 rather than S6. They made Peyton so damn mopey that season and I thought it was nice to see that she had a relationship after Lucas. I think the downfall of her relationship with Julian is what brought her back to Lucas and it made her realize she still wanted to be with him.

I agree. I think it was important that she had a relationship after him, it's incredibly unhealthy to pine anyway.

I agree and I feel it was realistic....
Even if you love someone, everyone ain't going to be staying single for months or years.... even if they still loved the person they use to be with... that's why it's call moving on.

Even if you love someone, everyone ain't going to be staying single for months or years.... even if they still loved the person they use to be with... that's why it's call moving on.

No, not completely, but that was an important realization. She did try to move on from Lucas, but she wasn't able to. That's really telling. She did try with Julian, she even lived with him, but there was that part of her that wasn't able to let Lucas go from her heart. Maybe it's because of the lack of closure from him leaving her in a hotel room and there being no finalization of the relationship but her pining, more so, stemmed after that point.

But she only really did try to move on because she thought Lucas already had, not because she genuinely wanted to and her relationship with Julian came off as an rebound at the start. She was still pining for Luke when she was Julian, so I don't think she tried as hard as she could have imo.

Yes, but she still chose to turn it into a relationship versus a one night stand.

Yes there are. I always forget that she agreed to hang out with Julian after walking out of Lucas' book signing. I think I need to do a rewatch.

Yep, Lindsay and Julian were rebounds that LP both definitely some love but were never fully in love.

Julian ended the second the second he knew how she still felt about Luke, but Lindsay stayed with him for a lot longer than she should have.

Definitely.

LP both believed they were in love with them, but belief isn't the real thing.
