[Episode Discussion] 2x17 - "Something I Can Never Have"
Episode 217 Airdate: April 19, 2005
"Something I Can Never Have” Keith (Craig Sheffer) has a violent confrontation with Dan (Paul Johansson) after learning Dan paid Jules (guest star Maria Menounos) to sleep with Keith. Anna (guest star Daniella Alonso) turns Felix (guest star Michael Copon) in to the school authorities after discovering he was the one who defaced Peyton’s (Hilarie Burton) locker. Meanwhile, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Brooke (Sophia Bush) discuss the possibility of her leaving Tree Hill for good, while Nathan (James Lafferty) decides to go get Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) and bring her home. Barbara Alyn Woods, Barry Corbin and Moira Kelly also star. Paul Johansson directed the episode written by Mike Herro and David Strauss. -------------------------------------------------- REMINDER: Please be respectful in your posts.  As for actual story line. I am goint to say that as much as I b!tch about it. I love it. I am up/ down/ right/ left. It's like a roller coaster ride and while I am left feeling sick sometimes... I wouldn't trade it for any other show.  Awe. Feel the love? Have a great OTH night y'all.__________________

I can't wait until tonight's episode, only 4 more hours to go, yeah I'm on the west coast. But seriously I've been waiting forever for the new episodes. Love that pic too.
I seriously hope Dan gets what's coming to him. He's seriously the guy I love to hate and I can't wait to see Keith beat up Dan, lol, seriously I just want Dan to go down and get what he deserves. And I can't wait for the Brooke/Lucas scenes too, they look amazing in the promos and I love Brucas. Most of all, I just want to see Keith beat up Dan. I. Love. Brooke. She's friggin' amazing
I want Nathan. He's so great. I almost think that Haliey doesn't deserve him. Felix's an ass Nikki's a bitch Poor Jake Poor Peyten Poor, Drunk Keith Dan's a bastard Haliey's CRAZY!!!!!!!! Nathan is perfect. If she doesn't want him I'll take him. __________________

This episode was very dissapointing because I feel the whole thing was anticlimatic cubed. Nikki, Naley meet and greet, Brooke, Brooke vs. Felix, the lesbian showdown- all of it seemed like it already happened and there was no point. You knew Nikki was back to take Jenny away. You knew Haley wasn't going to just come running back and everything was going to be OK (although I so wished it did. Those flashbacks, GOD!) You definitely knew Brooke wasn't moving. Felix hadn't even been on the show for weeks, so you knew he was gone, and the whole thing with him and Anna I could just care less about. Minor character vs. Minor character is boring to me.
The previews for next week look more in keeping with the shows theme, but were very disheartening. That kiss will just complicate everything so damn much. I hope all you Cingular customers vote that down by an overwhelming majority. I'm not a huge fan of the self-destructive Nathan. __________________

ok so my thoughts on this ep...
naley- loved loved loved the flashbacks!!! each and everyone of them! especially the 'hot sex' and wedding night. and of course shower and atlanta (which was ttly random but sweet non the less) i HATED that they took their rings off. that just makes the ending suck! and im sry but wut is up haleys a$$!? after the whole sweet speech nathan gave her she just stood dumbfounded. i was just like ok wtf!? brucas-i loved the scene where brooke was yelling at her mom and lucas was like 'shes just so sweet' lol..i think sophia looked GORGOUS in this ep. especially the last scene with her nd karen. keith- aw i feel so bad for him. but wow he grew a beard pretty damn fast lol. i have a feeling he will come back jeyton- ew nikki!!!! i loved the lines brooke gave her! lol but i hope she doesnt get custody of jenny bc that would SUCK! anna/felix- BYE BYE FELIX! finally he leaves. i liked anna's (daniella's) acting in this ep. it was really good michelle lynn- if that was her role in the entire show then im HAPPY! lol i must say she stole the scene for all of the 2 min she was on lol and last the dreadfull preview! i HATED all the scenes that involved nathan and taylor. and that 'kiss' or 'almost kiss' w/e u wanna call it. ugh id rather not think about it. __________________

The best parts of the episode:
1. Naley flashbacks....part of the Naley story that we missed before (I am a HUGE obsessed Naley fan. Sick since I am and over the hill fan!) 2. Lucas telling Karen that he why he was living with Dan and Dan believing Lucas's story 3. Keith beating up Dan 4. Felix leaving. I am a huge Naley fan and still have hope for these two. Nathan did what he always does...he leaves when he doesn't get the answer that he wants. I was glad that Haley atleast had the opportunity to tell him that she was scared that they moved to fast. Nathan leaving wouldn't help her believe in their decisions although I LOVED Nathan's pledge to Haley...it was heartbreaking for him when Haley said that she thought they may have made a mistake. Keeping with my highest hope that they will be smart enough to get these two back together, I think that is is realistic that one of these two might have insecurities about their decision. I cannot wait to see them work through this and reunite. Nathan kissing Haley's sister a blink after he finished telling Haley that he wanted to spend his life with her makes me ill. Nice way to deal with your problems. Leave and go sleep with you wife's sister. Okay...I guess that is enough!!! :I have nothing to lose...but YOU do!"
