so, I've sat on my thoughts on the episode since last night.

And Nathan and Brooke are my saving grace for this show. I'm sick of Peyton, Lucas, and Haley (WTF was up with her last night?).

I'm liking the Dan and Karen interaction, and I do hope there's some sort of revisit in the works. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Yes, I would love a Dan/Karen revisit. That would be nice. I've been sensing something with Keith and Deb, too.

So those picture strips of Lucas and Brooke that were on the poster were really adorable. Sigh. I miss the good times.

And I got excited when Nathan and Brooke were standing next to each other, more so when she gave him that look. lol Doesn't seem like we're getting the N/B friendship we've been wanting, though. It looks more like N/P are getting it, but I guess it's reasonable since she is the ex.

Yeah, IA, we're getting a Karen/Dan and a Keith/Deb pairing soon.

I also did not like how Haley forgave Peyton for going behind Brooke's back with Lucas. Hello?? It takes two. I hate how the writers are trying to sell Peyton as a saint, it's disgusting.

Haley lost some major points when she said that. I mean, if some needed Nathan in their lives and started making out with behind her back, I don't think Haley would appreciate that either. [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Yay New Thread! The thing that bugged me most about Hayley's reaction to Seyton's part in the PukeAss betrayal, besides WTF is she thinking, Is that the writers tend to use Haley as the moral voice of the show. So apparently the writers want us to buy that if you feel a connection with someone lying and cheating is ok. If they want me to buy that are they selling the Brooklyn bridge too??

I LOVE the title!

I was stunned about Haley's response to Peyton but in her defense she wasn't acting like herself in that episode and Peyton had lousy timing in trying to find out if Haley was disgusted with her. I loved how Peyton was with Haley but the girl's best friend was fighting for his life, she was wacked with guilt over her fight with him before his accident and she just found out her boyfriend was using her in the beginning and Peyton feels the need to bring up her situation with Brooke and Lucas when it was the furthest thing from Haley's mind. I think she let Peyton off easy because Peyton and Lucas seeing each other behind Brooke's back was the cause of her fight with Luke and that she didn't want to get into one with Peyton who she considers a friend and while she understands why Peyton's seeing Lucas she doesn't agree with how Peyton is hurting her best friend.

That whole thing with Haley absolving Peyton was just strange all around. Why is Lucas in the wrong, but not Peyton? Please, TPTB, just stop it already. I hate it when they try to justify Lucas and Peyton's actions just because they're supposedly "soulmates."

I really hope after that last scene with Karen and Brooke, they'll become tremendously close. And hopefully, they can still be close after Lucas breaks up with Brooke.

Oh my god! Such a good episode. It was sad and stuff but so much made it worth while. I still love the ongoing Peyton/Haley Friendship, but my favorite thing was Nathan/Peyton. It was so great that they talked. I have been waiting since they broke up for them to have a heart to heart. I just loved when she said Haley was the best thing that every happened to him, including her, and then he agreeded. I also understand why Haley would want to be mad at Nathan, but she was overreacting a little. I'm glad they never offically broke up, spoliers for this episode were really scaring me.

Next, I loved how Dan thought Karen was going to yell at him and she hugged him, that is just classic. But nothing topes the joy I had in my heart when Lucas woke up and put his hand on Nathan's. I know he didn't realize who it was really, but I beleive that Lucas heard him. This was right up there with Dan saying, "He's my son." I felt bad for Keith, but I would feel the same way is this happened to my son. I just hope she forgives him soon. At least I would try to. And I just loved how Whitey was there to tell Karen that no man has ever loved a boy as much as Keith loves Lucas. That was very sweet.

I also liked how they showed all his friends at the basketball court talking to him on the video camera and then everyone going and writing messages on the court. I loved the return of Jake and that Tim was there. That was great! And even though I am not a Peyton Fan I loved what she drew for him. I was also glad that they didn't push the whole Peyton being there for Lucas thing. I think it was more important for Brooke to be there. He might be into Peyton right now, but she definetly cares about him and I liked seeing that. I thought she was so cute and sweet tonight. The way she was acting would be me in a crisis situation. I liked how this episode let us Brucas fan's be in denial a little longer, because next week it looks like everything will go in the craper. Plus I thought Karen really ended up liking Brooke. I loved when Lucas saw his mother and began to sing You are my sunshine like she had sung to him. That was such a beautiful moment. But I thought it was great how Haley was the most important person to be there. Lucas's "Hey Buddy" and Haley starting to cry was so tear jerking.

I think I got al most everything, but I'm sure there is something I've missed. I'll go back and watch it a few more times and add anything else. I hope you guys liked it!

Everyone should just admit that BOTH of them were wrong. As much as Haley's thoughts may have changed because of Lucas' accident, she shouldn't tell Peyton that what she did wasn't wrong. It was and it still is. Even though she's feeling bad that she yelled at Lucas before the accident, it doesn't mean that what he did was right. If she had known about the accident before, would that mean that she wouldn't have told him off and just agreed that what Lucas and Peyton did was right? NO! Which means that she still should have told Peyton that what she's doing is crap. Ugh. It was wrong and both of them should feel the guilt eating at them. *breathes*

I think Karen is beginning to see Brooke in a different light. At first it seemed as though she thought Brooke was an airhead, but after that comment about if she had lit herself on fire, her parents wouldn't even notice, I think Karen began to see that there's more to her than meets the eye. It was nice to see that Brooke was nervous about talking to Karen.

What I hate the most was that the writers made it seem that Karen liked Peyton and they sort of got along better than she did with Brooke. Seriously, they should stop shoving Peyton down our throats. Not only is there no chemistry between Peyton and Lucas, but it's making it really annoying. It's waaaaay too much and they should consider stopping.

I agree she shouldn't have told Peyton that what she did wasn't wrong but she was suffering and was only thinking about her friendship with Lucas and not Brooke and how much Peyton's betrayal is going to destroy her which is understandable.
Like Brooke it seems like Haley's raising herself and her family doesn't notice her (it never fails to amaze me how Nathan is able to freely walk in and out of her bedroom at the hours of the day without running into one of her parent's or siblings) but her best friend is the one constant thing in her life and she didn't know if he would survive and since she believed that her relationships with Nathan was one big lie she probably also believed that she would be all alone if Lucas died or wouldn't forgive her if he did wake up which would making her care less about what Peyton's actions towards Brooke. I probably would said the same thing she did if I was in the middle of a major crisis even though I wouldn't really mean it.

Next week she'll probably voice her disappointment in Peyton especially since her and Lucas have Brooke find out in worst possible way because they apparently are too stupid to realize that when your having a fling behind someone's back you shouldn't make out in front of a turned on web camera for the world to see. Now that she back in her right state of mind I can't see Haley telling Peyton after she rips Brooke's heart out that she's not to blame. That would totally go against her morals and would be cruel to Brooke but whatever happens I think she's going to be feeling more for Brooke then Peyton or at least I hope she does when she see's the extent of Brooke's pain over being betrayed even if she stays out of it and doesn't voice her opinion on the Brooke/Lucas/Peyton triangle.

IA. I'm sure I'd appreciate Peyton more if the writers would just stop shoving her supposed "chemistry" with Lucas (which is actually noneexistant) down our throats. TPTB seem to think that dropping anvils everywhere that's she's better for Lucas just because is good enough reason for us to support the pairing. [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img]

I like Peyton, as you all know, but I hated how she was EVERYWHERE last night. She was w/Brooke, then Haley, then Haley again, then the hospital, then the basketball court, then with Nathan, you get me drift. She doesn't need to be in every scene of the show. If they would just give her a screen break then people would appreciate her more. Putting her with everyone doesn't give her any "special" relationships like all the other characters have.

The whole Peyton/Haley scene on the roof was the one I hated most from last night. I don't like/dislike Haley, but she scored major points last week when she told Lucas what he was doing was wrong. But this week when she told Peyton she wasn't disappointed in her it ticked me off. She could have said "I know you need Lucas, but you still should have been honest with Brooke" and it would have been fine, but no.

And Karen/Dan revisted is what I'm looking forward to the most. I see sparks between Deb/Keith, but I can't get Karen/Dan out of my head. I wonder when the last time was that she hugged him? 16 years? That's got to mean something.

I actually liked Lucas last night, probably because he was unconscious the whole time. But hearing everyone, especially Brooke, talk about him made me remember the old Lucas.

Now, I'm sad that he's breaking up with Brooke next episode. I still have no doubt they'll get back together, though. It won't last with Peyton, just like it didn't last with Anna and Seth. Because they're the same people.
