The OC Soundtrack Thread: It's About Time!
On March 30, 2004, the OC soundtrack is going to be released. It's entitled Music From the OC Mix 1 These are the track listings and special features! i got everything from the fox website so it's all true!
Track Listing: 1. Paint The Silence – South 2. Just A Ride – Jem 3. Honey And The Moon - Joseph Arthur 4. The Way We Get By – Spoon 5. Move On – Jet 6. How Good It Can Be - The 88 7. Caught Be The River – Doves 8. Rain City - Turin Brakes 9. We Used To Be Friends - The Dandy Warhols 10. Dice - Finley Quaye & William Orbit 11. Orange Sky - Alexi Murdoch 12. California - Phantom Planet CD Enhancements: Unlock the specific scene where each track was used. Interviews/Commentary from the cast on their favorite music/scenes/usages. __________________

i kno! i thought that too! o well. the soundtrack still has a bunch of other good songs on it! i really like the songs 'dice' and 'honey and the moon'! i can't wait for a pic of the cover to show up

I'm surprised there isn't any Rooney or Death Cab on there. I wanted Strange and Beautiful too.
Maybe I'll buy this one and make another OC mix... __________________

The no Rooney is strange, but the no Death Cab really isn't. There's only been one DCFC song used on the show, and it wasn't used for any particular reason other than to have background music in the car.
The songs they used on the soundtrack all have particular meaning to whatever scene they were used in, hence the commentary about their uses, etc. __________________

Now that you mention it it does make sense. Why would they put a song on the soundtrack that you could barely hear?

since this is #1, i think that if this one sells well, there will be more. also, it seems that all of the songs on the soundtrack are from the new year's eppy and earlier. since rooney was on after that, they may show up on the 2nd mix.
as for dcfc, i don't think they'd really fit on the soundtrack either. they had one song and it was barely audible. maybe they should just make an Adam Brody soundtrack [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] __________________
