Gossip Girl S&S #1407: Gossip Girl is all we need! Her love's a drug, can't get enough - her love's a drug!

Welcome to the Gossip Girl spoiler and speculation thread, feel free to post about any upcoming story-line
and discuss it with the other people in here. We urge you to not bash the actors nor the users
because it's not allowed by the rules, but anything else with a good argument is welcomed.

Effective immediately, the Spoilers Board Moderators reserve the right to temporarily close any
thread that does not heed four official warnings given on any issue. This means that,
if the Spoilers Board Moderators have to come in with four official warnings about
any issue whatsoever, within 24 hours or so, then that particular thread will be temporarily
closed. The duration of closure is subject to the Spoilers Board Moderators' discretion.
Upon re-opening of the temporarily closed thread, said thread will be closed again if any
warnings are given within 24-48 hours of the reopening. Lastly, if numerous warnings need
to be given over the course of a week, and the moderators suspect an attempt to get
around the "four warnings" rule to avoid closure, we reserve the right to temporarily close the thread.

ATTENTION ALL GOSSIP GIRL FANS: From now on, please do not post any picspams or repeated
spoiler images - regardless of who is in them. It takes up space and offends certain
members/fanbases. When we get new pictures, post a few of them once, then link the
rest. They will be added to our photobucket in the OP and can be accessed there from then on.

GENERAL INFO

According to Spoiler TV:
- DV are the new "it" couple.
- CB's break up is not the end of their relationship.
- RL will continue fighting throughout the end of the season.
- NS will continue their love fest and Jenny will fail in her manipulations.

Kristin said what?:
- Chuck will do something horrible! And it involves Jack!
- William Baldwin will play Serena's father for 3 episodes starting in April. He will also be heavily involved in Lily's story.
- Georgina will be returning this season.
- Jenny will be scheming to steal Nate away from Serena, but he will resist.
- According to sources, Dan and Vanessa are most definitely on. They will be getting together this season.
- Ditto Nate and Serena, who will become a bona fide couple.
- Rufus and Lily will have a major problem (Serena's father).

Ausiello scoops:
- There will be a very subtle clue about Blair's ED in an upcoming episode.
- Carter's return is related to William's.

- Some characters will be involved in what is presumably an Indecent Proposal.

- Naked Vanessa and lots of mojitos makes Dan a happy boy.

Interviews:
- Stephanie Savage says that NS will be a frothy compliment to CB's angst, that no one but her, Josh, and the sound mixer/editor know if Chuck's mom is real, and that Georgie's storyline will lead us into next season.
- Stephanie Savage says the idea of CJ is crazy, CB will support each other through the mom arc, D will be a part of Serena's dad story, and that they have an endgame in mind but that every combination of VDSNJ can still be explored.
- Stephanie Savage says NS are the golden couple and "have some of the most fun and sexy scenes we've ever shot" & that 3x13 "kicks off a big emotional Chuck story that brings him and Blair closer than ever".
- According to Matthew Settle, it seems Rufus/Lily will end the season on a cliffhanger, and it will involve Daddy vdW
- Connor Paolo says Eric will feel a lot of resentment towards his father, and daddy VDW being cool about his sexuality won't help matters any.
- Chace Crawford says Serena will plan a birthday party for Nate with a game of Assassin.
- According to Stephanie Savage:
- Chuck and Blair will stay a couple throughout the season, but it will be nothing we've ever seen before.
- DS is much less romantic than it's ever been - more like siblings.
- Joshua Safran interview (Examiner, Part 3)
-Josh Schwartz interview: Second half of the season expect an emotional arc for Chuck, Serena's daddy issues, DV's friendship-to-romance, and "keep your eye on little Jenny Humphrey."

I'm listening to the song...... to explain the title, lol

I dont understand loving NBs Blair. You loved her constantly thinking she was not enough and striving to be perfect.
THANK YOU!

NB was all about B feeling like she wasn't enough, and striving to be different than herself. How was that good for her at all? That's not a healthy relationship, and Chuck even pointed it out last year. Nate always wanted Blair to be different than herself, and that was stupid. If he didn't love her for who she was, then he didn't really love her.

Well to each their own then because I will never like that Blair. I hated how much she strived to be better and perfect. But thankfully shes with someone that loves her for who she is and not a fake waspy version she was with Nate

I think what kary meant is that she misses Blair having a point of view. I miss S2 (especially early S2) blair the most because she had distinctive perspective. I'm enjoying the cb relationship but I do miss her having a storyline and a pov thats not purely comedic but thats the least of the writers problems this season.

She's not really comedic at this point, though. With the new CB storyline, I'm feeling for her already..

Don't get me wrong... i like CB... CB is good for Blair... but i agree with the person who said CB is more about Chuck, first it was about his commitment issues, now it's mainly Blair being there for him.. and NB was more about Blair's issues... and i like Blair having issues, not cuz i want her to suffer, but because vulnerable Blair is what i fell in love with

But what does Blair not having a current SL have to do with CB as a couple.

Also I have yet to see her be comdedic with Chuck. Only with her NYU SL.

I do like Blair since 3.13 I can even understand her feelings in trying to trust "mommy dearest" cause she wants C to be happy. However, I hope they work in having a serious storyline for her because in the first two seasons she had some really good emotional storylines

So you love the NYU storyline then?

I get what you're saying but I think that Blair's still showing that vulnerability. She's also showing a great deal of strength of character and I LOVE that about her current depiction.

really? her sexy talk when she found the necklace seemed comedic to me, even in the sneak we got, her extra giddyness makes it comedic to me... maybe it's how Leighton wants to play Blair though idk

Thanks for the new thread.

I know what you mean about actors needing and wanting to be challenged Shu. I can see why Penn was reluctant to take the part since Dan is more of a heroic type character. As such there isn't as much room to push the envelop (in terms of exploring a character's dark side) as with an anti-heroic character like Chuck. It actually sounds like Chuck EVOLVED into being an anti-hero. He was initially a flat out villian. Anyway, point is: I can see why Penn might be disatisfied by the acting challenge of a role like Dan.

ewww no! why would my comments make you think that

this goes back to my S1 Blair vs S3 Blair...

S1 Blair IMO was a bitch with motive... the NYU toast epi, i was team Blair as default, but i didn't agree with how she was acting... it's like she was being bitchy, just cuz... i think Blair was used this way in this epi just to gain vanessa some sympathy

I totally understand that and I also think he gets the role like no-one else can. He gives dan an edge that he wouldn't have on paper. Otherwise he'd be way more geeky and like Seth or Chuck Bartoski. Penn gives dan that little sexy edge. The ocassional darkness that seeps out at the most unexpected moments. But, he's also got impecable comedic timing. That's why I'm more of a penn fan than a dan one even though I love the boy. If I were to choose dan vs serena, Serena is my girl but I love dan cause of who plays him.

sorry if i make no sense.

eta: I get frustrated with Dan being heroic cause right now they aren't letting him be that. They've reduced him to a side comedic player whose lost a lot of what makes him him so they can do this current pairing. I think thats my biggest beef. DV diminished Dan to a side player and he's too important of a character for that to happen. Even when Olivia was on it felt more like the Olivia storyline guest starring Dan humphrey.
