From the inventive minds of “Lost” executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis comes a bold new imagining of the world, where fairy tales and the modern-day are about to collide.

And they all lived happily ever after – or so everyone was led to believe. Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself. She’s a 28-year-old bail bonds collector who’s been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when the son she gave up years ago finds her, everything starts to change. Henry is now 10 years old and in desperate need of Emma’s help. He believes that Emma actually comes from an alternate world and is Snow White and Prince Charming’s missing daughter. According to his book of fairytales, they sent her away to protect her from the Evil Queen’s curse, which trapped the fairytale world forever, frozen in time, and brought them into our modern world. Of course Emma doesn’t believe a word, but when she brings Henry back to Storybrooke, she finds herself drawn to this unusual boy and his strange New England town. Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects that Storybrooke is more than it seems. It’s a place where magic has been forgotten, but is still powerfully close… where fairytale characters are alive, even though they don’t remember who they once were. The epic battle for the future of all worlds is beginning, but for good to win, Emma will have to accept her destiny and fight like hell.

- The backstory of Grumpy is revealed. This includes a beautiful woman (Amy Acker) who has a few problems, including an issue with men that has to be worked out, because it is a life and death issue. This woman, Nova/Astrid, will be a love interest for Grumpy/Leroy that will put a smile on his face. (Source)

I mean, there are surprises that have led me to throw scripts at walls,” she says. “We’re going to learn a lot more about Snow and the things that we learn are not pretty. There is a dark side. We jump back in time so much; in the past you will learn about her wretched history. Yes, there are some wretched parts of her history. Everyone's dying to know what happened between the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) back in the fairy-tale world, so when we chatted with Parrilla we had to ask for anything and everything about that backstory. "I have some idea. I cannot reveal that clearly. That's the biggest question everyone wants to know the answer to," she teases. "I will say that you will learn soon enough." so what is the name of ep 1.16? do we know?

a theory regarding Rumple and teh curse

I think it is to get even with Regina. He really does not like her but what i don't get is it really over Belle? or is there more to it that we do not know.

all I got from the belle ep.. to paraphrase was "you really think you are more powerful than me?" which he yells at the mirrior and which he repeats to regina in the cell.

and what will happen when he finds out about Belle? being alive.

I want rumple to have redeeming qualities and not end up as teh ultimate evil person, he was a good man before he became the dark one.. with noble aspirations.. to end the ogre war and to save the children.. and the curse changed his character or should i say his new found power.

and I do not want to have sympathy for the EQ. I do not want it to be that she is more liked than rumple.

I like this theory sounds interesting.

But I can't help but wonder if Grumpy would go through with this...he never seemed to be really for potions and spells.

But we'll probably find out more for him soon.

I'm still wondering if Rumple knew of the Queen's plans and was planning ahead on what to do for the defeat of her in RL
