I think it's quite possible. The EQ wasn't exactly happy Rumple asked her to kill Zelena. I wouldn't be surprised if she does something like this to distract him. Sometimes, promos are misleading.

I don't know... It seems a bit too much for Rumple. I don't think he wants a grown up son. I mean, he wanted to make Neal a child again, so, why would he want to have an adult son at this point.

Besides, spoiler pics for episode 10 show Rumple and Belle side by side while Emma is fighting the hooded figure. I don't think Rumple would be with Belle if he did something like that...

Then again, those writers are crazy, so...

Crazy theory but maybe Belle asks the fairies (or Emma or Zelena) to age Gideon/Morpheus to "protect" him from Rumple. A grown man would be far less vulnerable than a baby.

I know Blue was able to make August a boy again. Maybe they do have the power to do the reverse.

Doesn't explain how the little punk manages to kill Emma in her vision. Unless he was born with dark magic.

The baby was conceived right after Rumple had taken all of the power of the Dark Ones, and then was with Belle in Pandora's Box, so who knows, maybe he's born with magical abilities.

Also, whatever Rumple does to speed up the pregnancy backfires (provided that's what he is doing, we don't know for sure yet), and also speeds up his growth after he's born, thus explaining being an adult man later on.

I hadn't thought about the timing of his conception, but it could have had an affect on him. Also, Rumple warned her that he would be the son of the Dark One and she would need his help.
