Thanks for the new thread! I hope they change up the opening credits next season. The cast is so young in it and there's really no reason to see JimmySteve's butt at the end anymore (Even if he IS returning next season.)

Finally watched the finale and yep, Ian is definitely my favorite Gallagher. Just him lying there in that bed made me feel for him. And Mickey is officially one of my favorite characters. His love for Ian and acceptance of that love/who he is has won me over. Also, the bar scene with he, Kev, V and co. was really good. The look on his face during that entire discussion was priceless.

I'm so over Mandy and Lip. Like can we move on for them? lol Seriously, I like that she helped Lip get into college but I'm still not ok with what she did to Karen (Lip shouldn't be either) and I just don't like her and Lip together.

I do like Jimmy being back but I'm disappointed that the writers wasted Mike in the latter part of the season. What was the point of putting the actor on contract if they were going to use him? Then again, I guess they could play up Jimmy vs. Mike next season?

The end scene with Carl and Frank was so tragic. Carl is a young boy who loves his father, wants to spend time with him and what does Frank do? Encourages Carl to drink, even knowing what drinking has done to him. *sighs* I like Frank and I know he's damaged (probably beyond repair) so I'm not trying to be cruel in saying this, but I'd rather he die than see him continue to literally poison his children.

Same! That scene was i think foreshadowing and I hate it! Frank saying that's he started drinking at 12 (Carl is 12 right?) + the discussion between Fiona and Lip. I'm not ready for this.

I really loved this episode and the whole season

I don't understand why the writers try to put Mandy and Lip together so badly. I used to really ship them but after what she did I never believe Lip can actually forgive her and get back to her. Plus I'm kinda enjoying that new thing with Amanda.

As for Jimmy well, I was happy but not suprised since I never believed he was dead. Oh and I'm so happy for Fiona, getting her ***** back together finally

Great episode and really great season.

As pointless as I found the Frank storyline, William H Macy was really amazing in that final scene with Carl. I really hope that we're not heading for some child alcoholic storyline with Carl though. Also, was Bonnie playing him? I didn't get why she got so freaked over the present.

Debbie's expression as she entered the room and saw Ian wrapped up in the bed broke my heart. She knew immediately what was wrong with him. Her crying always takes me out of a scene though. Girl has a horrible cry face.

Regina King needs to always be in the show. Just cause. I liked her spiel to Fiona where she basically tells her to stop blaming her parents/whoever and own her actions. I'm glad Fiona finally got her **** together. I would be looking forward to the return of Stimmy only he's inflicting Dichen Lachman onto us who I cannot stand. Also, his smirk when she calls him Jack makes me think that he hasn't learned anything from last seasons disasters. I have always loved season one Fiona and Steve though so if there were even a glimmer that we could get it back to that...

So Ian's bipolar? Do you think we might get Monica back next season? I've always enjoyed Chloe Webb's performance and it could make for an interesting storyline.

Noel Fisher has been the MVP of the season. He's been great and has really sold me on every bit of Mickey's journey. Svetlana being a lesbian seems stupidly convenient but at least they're getting along.

Mandy doesn't bother me this season but I think that's because she's barely been there this season. Aside from serving as Lip's constant excuse when he's trying to avoid growing up/doing well in college she's a pointless character. I don't buy he loves her, I just see him reverting back to her when he's uncomfortable because he's not challenged by her and feels the big man in the relationship without having to do any work.

I REALLY hope thats not Ian. He seems like the only logical one. But after everything he and Mickey have been through I'd rather them focus on getting Ian the help he needs rather than giving him another love interest.
