Glad you posted this quote.

It's one of the reasons why the Emma/Regina at the door scene felt flat to me. I see Regina/Emma as frenemies. They work better when there is an undercurrent of adversarial tension. IMHO, it would have more emotional connection if it was Snow (or Henry) on the other side of the door with Regina. (Although I completely understand because Ginny just had a baby so the writers may not want to add more scenes for the new mom and had Emma instead.)

Well, we've seen spoilers now for all 3 -- Emma, Snow, and Henry, who will provide Regina with emotional and healthy support. So it's a perfect trifecta in my opinion.

Hopefully, the relationships of the other two with Regina will resonate with you.

Isn't next episode the one where Snow breaks into Regina's home? It is written by Jane Espensen, who wrote the lovely Snow Regina scenes in Bleeding Through.

Regardless, Snow and Regina's deepening family/friendship bond is in the horizon. So exciting news for me personally, indeed.

Agreed! Emma and Regina are not friends IMHO. They can tolerate each other and perhaps even have a grudging respect for each other. I agree that that grey zone is where their relationship is at its most interesting, because IMO given their past, I think friends would be a stretch. Let's give Emma a friend who isn't related to her, in love with her, or who hasn't tried to kill her please... Elsa? Where are you?!

I didn't like the doorway scene (although I thought JMO's delivery was spot on and exactly the way Emma would have delivered it, not soft and warm the way Snow would, just practical and matter of fact.) it seemed weird to make an Anna/Elsa comparison with Emma/Regina. oh well, I guess we all enjoy different things.

I do want Hook to get his own sls but I don't understand hating for helping Emma when they go after stuff. charming and Snow used to be together alot and Belle was around when Gold magic in front of the Charmings. what is Hook suppose to do watch football while the town is in a crisis lol
It's not hating fox24 just because people don't like Hook doesn't mean that they can't have legitimate concerns with his character. Everyone has been complaining that Belle has no life or friends outside of Rumple and it seems that both fans of Hook and people who don't really care for him would like to see him doing something other than hanging around Emma alot crisis or not. I think it would be better for him to maybe find a place to live, a job, etc. He just seemed to me to be rootless in the premier other than when he was calling Emma on her avoidance.

Scififan, I have no taste? Nice but I will...let it go for now LOL!

Speaking of spoilers, are there anymore and is that spoiler about David versus Little Bo Peep a joke?

He doesn't hang around Emma constantly I am rewatching s3 and there are times when he's around other characters. I do want to know where he stays probably Granny's but it was the premiere. Second of all any love interest of Emma would be next to her in a crisis it was the same with Neal with Cora, pan, and Tamara

I agree. It would have been so poignant had it been Snow instead of Emma. Snow has always been the one person to believe in Regina. And as cursed Mary Margaret, she was in that exact same position (thanks to Regina) so it would have been coming full circle. With Emma, it just felt forced. But that is my opinion.

I wish it would have been Snow - I think it would have had more emotional impact with me too. I honestly wouldn't have been happy with Henry in that scene. I really wish Regina had reassured Henry that everything would be fine instead of running off like that anyway...

I actually thought the door scene was fine. The Emma/Regina scene at Grannys is the one that fell flat to me. Anyhow, I don't think it should have been Snow or Henry because the point of the scene was to show Emma feeling bad and wanting to make up for her actions. And that made sense to me. I'm sure Henry and Snow will have an opportunity to comfort Regina.

Believe or not, there are legit reasons for not liking Hook that have nothing to do with Neal or Regina. I don't see Hook as particularly well written. Yes, he can be funny, charming, and sexy but I mostly credit Colin for that. The writing itself has whitewashed the character too much for my taste. I also think it's time for him to have more to do other than chase after, pine for, and/or follow behind Emma. Let him do some shady/villain-ish things, since you know, he did come on as a villain. lol

well Hook is going to struggle but it would have been boring if Hook stayed a villain given his villainous goal was to kill Rumple. Every episode would be Hook on the floor unless you only Flook I would be bored.

still if people hate Hook being by Emmas side then why are their au fanfic where Neal or Regina go to the past with Emma. Not criticizing but it's so transparent to have people criticize Hook and Emmas team work

Okay next time there's a crisis Hook will be drinking at the rabbit hole lol. Is that people want? why did Robin get to be by Regina to get her heart? Why did Charming go with Snow to face Anton? Why do people hate Hook being a supportive boyfriend

I have no problem with Hook being a supportive boyfriend. And I agree that the LIs have supported each other. But technically Snow went with Charming to face Anton not the other way around. Anton's problem was with Charming because he thought Charming was James.

no one should say you have no taste for what you like.
WE are all entitled to our opinion.
Not liking Hook, or if someone doesn't like Rumple, Regina, Snow, Charming, Emma, anyone is fine.

I constantly see bad things, or what I feel is a misinterpretation of things regarding Rumple. I don't take it personally or try and and correct others all the time. I also try not to get overly sensitive when someone implies something negative about his actions or his character.

The fact is we know who we all like and don't. WE know why we don't like them and it doesn't always have to do with a ship, or another characters etc. That's very closed minded to think otherwise.

The fact is we all interpret the show differently. We all watch for different reasons.

I like the people here. I don't agree with them for everything, I don't imply they have bad taste, or are doing things because or this or that character.

We have fun because we know that we see things differently and we dont like or see a character the same way.
It's ok, we have fun, speculate and wish for things for each character.

BUt we also learn to be sensitive to others , because even though this is a fictional show and none of them are real we are all here because we take this seriously, and many of us get sensitive about things and take it to heart.

eta: I have said what my position was before in my not caring for Hook in the past. It had nothing to do with Neal OR Regina. So please that type of blanket statement implies that there are no other reason to not like Hook. My issue had been some BA's in the fandom, among other things. Again this is the past, but really we should all not worry about who likes or dislikes who for what ever reason, and just enjoy what we like

It's not like anyone was hating on here...
