Yay thanks for the new thread!!!

Okay a couple of things I want to say...

1) About Mitchum hiring Rory for the internship that could lead to a really really bad thing like Mitchum is trying to trick Rory or she just likes her. Either one. But if he offered her an internship we should see the rest of the families reaction. I mean Shira should be pretty upset unless he has some sort of trick plan for Rory to get her away from his son.

2) The prank at the Gilmore house was just a prank. At least I think. Although I am really curious about that. And how did Logan get into FND, you know after the dredded dinner with his family, now...the Gilmores!!!

Also does anyone know if there are going to be any new sides coming out soon?? Or does someone know when the promo comes out??

bekalynn, I get what you're saying. Actually to be frank, I agree with a lot of what you're saying. Logan and Lorelai are a lot alike, which is aids to why Rory likes him (i'm guessing). But they also have differences (not many, mind you). And it's these differences that are going to drive Lorelai just as much up the wall as the similarities. She is going to try to be the good person and not say anything,but it is not her nature to be tightlipped. She says what she's thinking when she's thinking it. And this fight/revelation is going to be a turning point in Rory & hers relationship. It's not going to be nearly as convoluted as the last fight, because this time it is pretty obvious that Lorelai is not looking beyond the surface when it comes to Logan. The audience might not know how to take this. But I think that the benefits of Lorelai's telling Rory will work out in the long. Lorelai just has to learn more about Logan, and realize that sometimes she's not going to approve of what makes her daughter happy (she'll finally have something in common with Emily).
However this works out, I don't think that it will result in something horendous or even be season finale worthy. That would just be too close to last year. There are so many better ways to end it.

I hope that Mitchum did not offer the internship just to get Rory away from Logan, and I doubt it because he could just stick her at any paper doing any kind of thing - not shadowing him at a take-over, that's pretty close & cool. No alternate spec to add tho... I'll be back when I've thought some more.

Bekalynn (your last post): Very well said. It's exactly what I think.

Although ASP plans the entire season backward, I have a feeling that somewhere in the middle there was a shift in the Rory-Logan storyline. Here is my theory: Mitchum was supposed to be on an earlier episode (from the casting sides), but ASP decided that Mitchum may actually play a bigger role and decided to hire a semi-known actor (sorry if he is really well known, I am not trying to be mean, just ignorance on my part as to who he is). Therefore, I do believe ( and I agree with what all of you speculate) that Mitchum may impact R/L in many ways, and not just on giving Rory an internship.

Yikes, my brain is in pain.

Actually I Never thought that it was to keep them far apart. I'm not so sure Mitchum is going to dislike Rory anymore. I actually agree with Jet, Honor and Logan have to get their decency from someone. Because really they are decent, non judgemental people. Plus, the way Rory talks about Mitchum, him not liking pees suggests that she's gotten to know him a bit.

I am really sorry if I confused you with someone else. I've been reading too much spec in the past hour, and with my son asking me to play with him, it's really a difficult decision whether to continue with my GG obsession or play with him.

Anyway, I do hope that is not the case. Please ignore my spec, coz I don't want to start anything bad. Anyway, I love Jet's analyses, so I agree with whatever he says (as Finn told Stephanie in Jews and Chinese Foods)

I agree. Logan and Honor had to get it from somewhere. I can see Mitchum actually liking Rory because she's ambitious.

That's why I am so glad we have our own S & S board...cause it's a war over there. And there is no pleasing them, so it's not even worth trying. Why are they like this? Is it b/c Luke & Lore are together so they have nothing to do? Cause that would be pathetic!

I think that Mitchum may see Rory as someone who can ground his son and who can help him focus on what is important - learning about the Huntzberger company and preparing to take it over.

I see him as someone who likes the fact that there is finally someone who loves journalism in his son's life.
