I agree it's a no win situation for Sarah and Mark.

The only best case is if they are able to work Jason schedule so he can do both shows but would this mean less screen time for them. Plus it would be very busy for Jason and might confuse viewers when they see him on 2 different new shows at the same time. But I guess they covered that already with The Event.

nbc will most likely pick it up... then cancel it. just like lola and southland. plus, the show doesn't sound like er at all. wtff? i can't imagine parenthood biting the dust though. unless they don't believe having at least one family drama doesn't help them excel.

I knew this day would come, but am still gutted! As much as i'd love him to do both shows, I think it might be wihsful thinking? I suppose they only good thing is, his new show is made by the same people as PH! So maybe? I have to agree with you, Judging by the sides there is still no indication of a break-up, and like you said, if this happens, especially this season, how rushed is it going to be?


For me, a break-up in season 4 would make me feel some what a little better. It would also solve the rushed break-up, that we can see happening.

This has really put a damper on the rest of the season. But I am going to try and enjoy as much Mark & Sarah while I can!!

Really? You've missed so much! Surely, If you think like that all the time, you'd never enjoy any show? To be honest, I wasn't expecting Jason to be on the show as long as he has. IMO, they shouldn't have invested so much into these characters. If they haven't moved onto the subject of babies, planning for the future. I don't think a break up would be as deverstating!

Sorry I miss typed, I've been into the show and enjoyed what we've got but knowing that Jason might be going has left me not holding out much long term hope for S&M as a couple, Crosby might have been right. It's not a case of IF they would break up but WHEN. I agree the who baby talk is right up their with Lorelai planning the perfect wedding in one day, a huge red flag on the relationship.

I just hope we get some conclusion that doesn't leave the fans (or Sarah) heart broken.

Yes, I really hope they're smart and do as you suggest.
In addition, there have been cases in recent years where actors continued to guest star on a show despite being a regular on another - I'm almost positive of that. Besides, we can see Mark as least as we see other regular characters, yet keep him as Sarah's significant other/partner etc.

Still, it'll be difficult for me to get excited about some good stuff coming up between Sarah & Mark, knowing it might just be pending a break up.
And any excuse they use now, after what they've been through and with Sarah just recently repeating to her sisters how this is THE best relationship of her life, will seem contrived to me.

Absolutely agree on this. It will be so hard to enjoy and Sarah and Mark goodness now. It's such a shame really.

I said in an earlier post, it's wishful thinking he could do both shows, but than i remembered that, Lisa kudrow, guest starred as Ursula on the show 'Mad about you' (1992-1999), whilst also starring in FRIENDS. So maybe it could be done? I sure hope they do work something out?

But I agree, anything good that happens, between now and the final episode. I won't be able to enjoy it, cause it's all just going to end up in one direction. Well that's what we all assume.

I know stars have appeared in 2 TV shows at once, a more recent example is Leonard's mom on TBBT, Christine Baranski has appeared in several episodes of the years while working on The Good Wife. And the fact Jason's new show is from the same team as PH does give us hope they will work out something.

As for sides for the season final, I'm starting to loose hope, it's been 12 days since the last lot so many there are no new characters to be cast in the season final?
