7.20.5 - PLL: A-List Wrap Party - June 27th 2017

Immediately following the highly anticipated two-hour finale episode of the fan favorite series, “Pretty Little Liars” stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse, as well as executive producer I. Marlene King, will sit down for an hour long unbarred and uncensored tell-all after show to discuss all of the series’ tightly held secrets, behind-the-scenes insights, and top moments.

The tell-all, which will premiere immediately after the two-hour series finale, will allow viewers the chance to digest all the drama that happened in the finale alongside the main cast and I. Marlene King. Burning fan questions will be asked and answered, and the audience will get the all the scoop on the ins and outs of A.D. and the #PLLEndGame. The after show will serve as a retrospective celebration of the past seven seasons and as a way for the #PLLSquad to say goodbye to the beloved drama.

I think that people are gonna learn a lot about her but in a way that they would never expect." [source]

I completely agree. There were numerous, much better ways for this story to be told. Even Yvonne already being dead when the show returned would've been better. I don't think Marlene realizes that when she had Yvonne and Toby marry, that automatically made Spencer look like a second choice, even though Yvonne died soon after the marriage. I don't get why it had to be taken to that level.

And of course, having Marco around was beyond useless. The least Marlene could've done to have the upcoming Spoby kiss make some kind of sense was have us at least see Spencer be concerned about Toby, see her try to call him, etc. during the episodes where he's away. But now it's going to be one big rushed mess. I know I'll enjoy whatever scenes they do get, because they've been my ship for years. But it's also bittersweet because I'd hoped for much better.

The sad thing is, almost every time Spencer and Toby had problems in their relationship/broke up, the same things happened. He leaves for a string of episodes, she has a fling with someone else, he comes back, they hook up and all is forgiven. Doing this during a normal season is one thing, but there's literally four episodes left in the whole series. This definitely is not the time to be pulling that crap.

It's realistic yes, but this show and realism do not mix . Spoby will end the show together in some fashion with the other couples whether it's realistic or not. Marlene wouldn't let Spencer or any of the other girls end up without their longtime SO's.

Alison is not Emily's long-time SO. She's a giant plot hole that Marlene had no idea how to fill after she didn't fulfill her purpose as A.

Seems like a red flag to me that Spencer isn't the least bit concerned over Toby's emotional state. Why even have her there for the hug if Marlene's trying to distance her from this thing Toby has to deal with on his own?

Spoby is parting ways. Marlene has been trying to hook Spencer up with as many other men as possible because deep down she's not really a Spoby shipper. She got bored of it.

And if she can chuck Paily in a fire, Spoby is also going to feel some third degree burns.

Haleb and Ezria have always been the only untouchable. (Unless Ravenswood had been a smash hit).

Hey I am new in this thread but I didnt know where else I could go and ask this so i hope it is okay... Is there a theory out there beside Spencer's Twin and Melissa as AD where it is the same? Where Melissa is in fact Spencer's twin and AD... I am asking this because Mary Drake comments on them looking like twins when she sees a picture of them... and Spencer mentioned they got it a lot as kids... I am asking because isnt it possible the Hastings lied Melissa older just like the DiLaurentis lied and made Charles/Charlotte older... Couldn't Melissa just have been using a Spencer mask a few times when she needed to look like her even more, but in fact be her twin? I have no idea if this makes sense to anyone else but the thought struck me with the Spencer twin thing and the comments on her and Melissa looking like twins might have a point...

Melissa has lied about a lot. I definitely think the final twist of the series could be Melissa betraying Spencer.

Jason DID see Melissa and Charlotte interacting on the night Bethany got killed. Charlotte tried to hand wave that away in 6x10, but it means something.

Here's a synopsis for the penultimate episode.

"Convinced they know who A.D. is, the Liars gear up for a confrontation. Spencer, Hanna, and Caleb team up to investigate and discover new information about Charlotte’s death. Meanwhile, Mary Drake returns with a gift for Spencer and Alison."

Who will the Liars incorrectly confront? Why is that trio still a plot? And how many times is Mary Drake going to return? The gift better be a ticking time bomb so that "Farewell, My Lovely" actually means something.

YASSS MONA. This all but confirms the Liars don't treat her with enough respect in Driving Miss Crazy.

Then there's no doubt in my mind that they all think Mona is A.D. for daring to tip off the cops and get them in the slammer.

But this sadly does look like a story where Mona falls on the sword for everyone else's happy ending.
