Haha I knew you were gonna say I sounded like that, which in a way I do, but I actually meant what I said, since the argument was never on the merit of ships. I mean how can I compare my ship to a pairing that came out of nowhere and had no build up or intensity? Its an embarassment to actually debate the merits of Skate versus Suliet LOL.

But it's the fact that you changed your perspective right at the moment when they became a non-consideration. It'd be like if I always shipped Juliet/Sawyer in a UC way, but then once they got together I decided I like S/K better. Just...what?

It's the same with every ship, IMO. Usually it's out of one's hand to actually pick a ship they like. Build-up or no build-up. The heart wants what it wants, right?
I'm pretty sure if Sawyer had married Juliet, had a child with her and then made it very clear he has no interest in Kate, this season, and then in the very last episode of Season 6, told Kate "I love you", you wouldn't have said a single word about "build-up". You'd have taken it no matter what. So ultimately, no matter how much you think that it's actually your viewing of a couple for a long time on your screen that makes you ship them, it's not always the case.

Actually I wouldnt even have been invested in Skate in the first place had they not had a build up I saw happen onscreen, the fighting, laughing, flirting, sex and everything lol. So if Sawyer married Juliet or whatever and decided at the last minute he wanted to be with Kate, I might be happy, and thats a word I use loosely, because obviously I wouldnt...but I'd have been "happy" because I already was invested in them from before Suliet is a couple that has no history, and all of it is just a blank , its not comparable lol.
I blame Mark for it, because seriously it was horrible to watch lol. But yeah there is no way I would tolerate Suliet because that would mean they'd have to go and get some chemistry first LOL
