At the moment the DB storyline will only be about helping Serena but what lies ahead is unclear and CB will be getting their super-hot freak on Linkage
- Chuck and Blair will be hate-sexing all over the place; Serena is really into Colin; Juliet and Ben are getting vengeance for something Serena did before the show even started.
- Adrienne Palicki from FNL was in talks to play a character that would appear in 7 episodes, but it didn't pan out. Presumably the character will still show up, though?
- Juliet will recruit Jenny and another unnamed major character in her plan to destroy Serena Linkage
- Juliet will create drama for Serena/Lily, Dan/Blair may or may not hookup and there are no current plans to bring Georgie back Linkage
- William vdW will return next season.
- According to this interview, the writers have a "plan" for Jenny that they want to save as a surprise.
- No love interest in the works for Blair.

- I can tell you exclusively that Chuck and Blair will have, um, relations, of the bom-chicka-bow-wow kind during the upcoming season. At least, that's what my sources are saying. Whether they will actually get back together, well…that I cannot say, sorry. But still, that's a pretty major reason to keep tuning in, right?

Spin City's Michael Boatman and One Life To Live's Tika Sumpter will team up to play father and daughter business team Russell and Raina Thorpe in the second half of season 4.
- 2 major characters are working with Juliet and parts of her plan may carry over to the second half of the season.
- Dan and Blair will team up to take down Juliet Linkage
- Chuck and Blair are not now, and basically never will be, over.

Interviews:
- Katie Cassidy is currently doing 11 episodes, but her stay might be extended...
- According to Katie Cassidy, Juliet’s “reasoning for wanting to take down people or someone is legitimate…..when it’s revealed why she’s there and what she’s doing, it’s understandable.” And her feelings for Nate are real.
- According to Stephanie Savage, Nate's relationship with Juliet will force him to confront some of his old season 1 issues.
- Not to mention the following: The impact about Chuck's shooting and questions about his health will last all season; Chuck will have some questions about his education later in the season; Blair will be discovering her major; Dorota's baby will create some conflict with the Waldorfs, probably because Eleanor gets too attached; Billy Baldwin should be back in the second half of the season; Eric will be struggling in high school without Jenny.
- According to TV Guide, Connor Paolo will have more screentime next season to make up for the absence of Jenny. Boyfriend will be involved.

Basing it just on this scene however? RIGHT NOW, THIS MINUTE? No. What I got was that truly, Blair wants to establish herself, figure out WHO SHE IS, and what she wants. I think it's doing her a disservice to throw her character into ANOTHER relationship SL when as of this convo she clearly wants to be independent. For to her to say that she doesn't want to live in Chuck's shadow, but have her be with some other guy she doesn't love half as much, because hey, at least SHE'S the powerful one in the relationship? Nah. DNW. There's no point, IMO.

Chuck, as I said, shook his head incredulously when Blair mentioned his not having to wait. He went home alone. I don't doubt, because the writers don't know what else to do with him, they'll throw him in bed with someone sooner or later... but tonight, the Chuck in that last scene? Would be alone for a very, very long while. Not "waiting" for Blair per ce, just realizing why settle for second best, when it doesn't compare to what you REALLY want? Blair's the only one he's ever said ILY to.. there's a reason for that.

Trust - no. I didn't get that from what Blair said at all. And they took out the lines that may have even slightly indicated that. If she had trust issues, I doubt she'd have said "I love you too". They were honest with each other, no games, no lies, for the first time in a very long time. Earlier in the ep,perhaps.. but at the end, it was all about Blair's unwillingness to lose herself in a relationship, as she feels like she did last year.

i will not buy Nate having feelings for anyone apart from Serena.. unless someone new is introduced or something..

I guess my confusion, then, is how is trust not an issue? They were honest and open, but the basis of their relationship is not good right now. They're acting as if Blair's need to make a mark is what's keeping them apart and that's kind of crazy to me, given all their issues. ISK what to take from this, tbh. I'm not understanding the storytelling.

So then in light of how the majority seem to be interpreting the breakup then, it's all now been placed on Blair. Chuck is in no need of redemption, and it's all about Blair needing to make change, not Chuck.

That's exactly what some of us had spec'd in here the other day and I had desperately hoped it wouldn't play out that way. Sadly, I guess it did. Chuck has nothing to change, Blair is awful and their problems were all her fault. She'll change and then they'll be back together.

Sigh.
