GG S&S#1921: This thread has spoilers about Gossip Girl.
 Welcome to the Gossip Girl spoiler and speculation thread, feel free to post about any upcoming story-line and discuss it with the other people in here. We urge you to not bash the actors nor the users because it's not allowed by the rules, but anything else with a good argument is welcomed. Effective immediately, the Spoilers Board Moderators reserve the right to temporarily close any thread that does not heed four official warnings given on any issue. Chuck's not still not happy. - Jack Bass is back in 4x20/21 and there's a possibility he's working with Russell and bringing some OMG news with him - Louis proposes in 4x20. Chuck either finds out at the Royal court of Monaco party where the proposal happens or Blair tells him privately later. - Blair was seen walking around with an engagement ring with Louis and his mom, she then runs off to Brooklyn to see Chuck - Chuck has a new hotel in Brooklyn called Charles Place. It's part of Bass Ind. Nate, Blair and Chuck were all seen around the property. Blair, without her engagement ring. - 4x21 could be called shattered Bass because Chuck punches a mirror over all the things going wrong in his life. Ed had cuts and bandages over his hands (pics), it looked like he had punched something. - Chuck is escorted out of either the Empire / Charles Place looking quite angry by guards. - Charlie, Serena's cousin, and Lily's sister are coming to town. - There's a strong possibility that Charlie and Dan get involved romantically. - Charlie might be sticking around longer than we initially thought, possibly as a season 5 regular. - Rufus/Lily could be headed towards trouble in paradise. There's the idea of jail running around, and her family members turning up is a recipe for disaster. - Louis's contract doesn't pass 4 episodes, it's unlikely he's back for seaon 5. - There's a small chance for a chair reunion. - Chuck's getting redeemed somehow. The poster of Charles Place says something along the lines of redemption and it's meant to be about Chuck. - Someone said that the writers know exactly what they're doing releasing the pics of Blair with her engagement ring, Charles Place, Dan/Charlie and Blair/Nate/Chuck in Brooklyn are all meant to be hinting towards something. - There have been pics of Raina/Nate having a small argument released. - Not sure what's going on with Archibald recently. I'm excited for next season. I want the writers to realize what they've done with CB and how extremely unhealthy and demeaning to women that relationship is. Also, to realize the impact DB have had on GG's audience. |

Going back to last thread's discussion - are CB'ers really shipping DS out of convenience?
LOL, that's hilarious. They loathed DS during S2/3 and were all in the Non-Judging Breakfast Club bandwagon. They must REALLY be scared of DB. I think we all convenient ship... some harder than others, but I don't really start supporting a couple I loathed out of convenience. I ship NS but I've also always liked NJ, since S1. And find NB cute at times. Yet, I hate NV and DS. I multiship Blair with Dan and Chuck... I mean, I'm more in the DB bandwagon for now, but I did feel bad for Chuck last episode where he had to take that photo alone. Right now, I want DB to get a shot. And then later on the writers can decide what makes more sense for Blair - when both couples have had their legitimate shot. __________________

I don't think my feelings about DS have changed due to the DB arc. I'm not really attracted to "light" couples like them but I did actually really like them in season 1 till they broke up the second time halfway through season 2. I just became bored with them and their story and felt it was going in circles. The way they've been written since hasn't really helped matters. It has felt very on/off feeelings wise and that's not enough to get me back on board. I've always liked Carter/Serena but the writers completely ended that relationship last season so...... But having said that I do acknowledge the writers have some love for the pairing and they've been getting more attention this season and I don't their story is over yet, so this is simply an instance of me and the writing not being on the same page. The same goes for my feelings about Dan actually. I don't dislike him at all, but unlike many DB fans I do see ham as pretty flawed (like the rest of the characters on the show). He's obviously not as damaged and jaded as someone like Chuck but I don't see him as just the "good guy" either.
eta: Lisa: your NY mag comment was great. I think the writers got a bit carried away with the parallels there. It was so obvious how that scene was meant to parallel how Blair broke up Chuck/Eva earlier in the season by arguing that Eva didn't belong on the UES. The problem is unlike Blair who has always been a snob, Chuck has never been opposed to "slumming" it, so the parallel doesn't really work the other way around. And lol at Chuck and Rufus. I'm convinced it is the writers' plan to have every single of the UES characters do something Brooklyn/Humphrey like before the series. Did you notice they made William wear flannel and bake waffles last episode? They are totally going to do the same thing to Chuck in season 5. I hate it when people convenient ship to it reminds me of the Gilmore girl when some LL fans wanted RJ or Rory and Marty and they didn't even like Rory with anyone. I remember how one rooted for her for a guy who only in one episode in S7. I'm a multishipper the only three main ships I don't like are NV, DV, and CB.

linda why generalize DB fans? who said he wasnt flawed? i didnt see any of those comments. we know he is.. but he is a guy who treated Blair friggen amazing these past episodes.. so to say we dont see him as flawed is
