FYI
(On first pages of boards from Raonaild): Website Maintenance -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone, This weekend FF will be down for maintenance so that we can perform some software upgrades. The work will start around 10AM PST on Saturday and last at least a few hours. Work has also been ongoing to eliminate the database errors that have been plaguing the site lately. We apologize for the inconvience this has caused, and I'd like to assure everyone that we are working on the problem. Any questions/comments should be directed to the Q&A board. - The Management __________________

Episode Description from The CW and courtesy of curlyhead:
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 28 "GILMORE GIRLS" — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) "Knit, People, Knit!" (TV-PG) (HDTV) STARS HOLLOW THROWS A "KNIT-A-THON" — When Christopher (David Sutcliffe) questions Lorelai (Lauren Graham) about why she has avoided involving him in the daily life of Stars Hollow, she admits her concern that her old friends may not accept him. Christopher makes an effort to bond with the townspeople, and Lorelai brings him to the town knit-a-thon, where his well-intentioned gesture brings the event to an early end. When Olivia (Michelle Ongkingo) throws a 2002-themed birthday party for Lucy (Krysten Ritter), Rory (Alexis Bledel) gets her chance to confront Marty about his coldness toward her. Finally, Luke (Scott Patterson) is touched by the birth of Liz (Kathleen Wilhoite) and T.J.’s (Michael DeLuise) baby, and when he learns that Anna (Sherilyn Fenn) is planning to move to New Mexico with April (Vanessa Marano), he demands equal rights as a parent. Liza Weil also stars. Kenny Ortega directed the episode written by David Grae |

Thanks Gen for the ep description,
So what does Chris do that ends the event? I guess Anna wants to move closer to her sick mother, this is gonna get messy. Poor Luke moight loose regular contact with April, whould he ever move? So good going Lore, didn't think how the town might react, what it's been 6 months since you have contact with the town? __________________

TV GUIDE PODCAST NOVEMBER 10, 2006
DM=Daniel Manu MA=Michael Ausiello AC=Angel Cohn MMcD=Maitland McDonagh Start 29.52 DM: Mike, what did you think of Gilmore Girls this week? MA: It was fine, uhm. AC: Oh, how much did you Sookie? MA: I Sookied quite a bit. DM: I— AC: Because I was tempted. DM: I pretty much Sookied almost all of it, I have to tell ya. AC: It was, like, nothing happpened. MA: I Sookied April and Lane scenes. I Sookied that; I Sookied uh— AC: Sookie. MA: --Sookie. Usually I like Sookie; but I liked the stuff with Lorelai and Christopher and Rory AC: But it just, like, it just -- MA: It didn’t really -- nothing really happened. AC: Nothing happened in the entire episode. I mean except for the fact that Christopher realized ‘oh, I’ve been a bad dad’. Shocking. DM: And a listener named Lauren, speaking of Sookieing, says ‘Did you notice the scene where Michel basically Sookied Sookie? It was a scene where she was torn about the vegetables and wanted to whine about it, and he did what the alive version of Sookie heard, telling her he didn’t care and walking out. AC: Yeah. DM: Although I didn’t see that scene, because Michel and Sookie in the same scene is just … ultimate Sookie. That’s… I mean… AC: I did see that scene, and he did kinda say, you know, ‘it’s not worth it, goodbye’. MA: What about that piece in the New York Times? DM: Yeah, and you know, that was an interesting piece that the NYT critic Virginia Hefferman wrote. MA: Watch it. DM: Oh for God´s sake. She’s a great writer, she made some interesting points. And I like the fact that a show like that is just getting the kind of space the NYT gave it, but she was pretty overall negative about the show, and negative on David Rosenthal and the writing of the show. MA: Yeah, which I think was a little harsh. I have to say, if there was no publicity surrounding the behind the scene switch-over and everyone was still under the assumption that Amy Sherman-Palladino was still writing the show, none of these articles would be out here, no one would think it sounded any different, there might be bitching about the storylines. AC: Yeah. It´s complaining about the storylines, not the dialogue. MA: It´s not the dialogue. DM: And the Gilmore story, that article, wasn’t entirely about, not the storyline, it was about you know, reaction shots. There was too many reaction shots, this season. AC: Who notices that? That’s like the cinematography, who, besides Maitland and I, notice that? MA: But, you know, Amy and Dan were no doubt reading that. Together, laughing. [MA and DM talk at the same time] DM: Are they bitter, you think? MA: I don’t think they’re bitter, but it’s not nice to have, you know, to feel you’re missed. MMcD: To know you’re indispensable. MA: Yeah, right. End 31.55 __________________

Gen, your avi...
It's so good to be able to see FF and not have to put a "2" in every address. I like that it's finally brought up why Lorelai's not being in the town as much lately. But it still so bothers me... her relationships shouldn't cause her to avoid all her "old" friends... omg, "old" friends, she considers the townies "old friends"? geez... So, what would Chris be doing to end the festival. maybe he announces that they're married? Or, if MA was correct in saying that the LL scene was later this month, it would have to be in ep. 9, so maybe. So, if Luke talks to the lawyer in 7.10, maybe Anna refuses to give him equal rights in ep 9. And moving April out of state... grr... Isn't anna just delightful? And marty again? __________________

Thanks for the episode description, Gen. I love your avi.
That description is interesting. I wonder what Christopher does to cause the town festival to end early. I think they are really trying to show how much Chris doesn't know how to fit into Rory and Lorelai's lives. He's just trying too hard. Aw Luke with a baby! *sigh* Interesting that Anna is trying to move her and April to NM. I thought they might do that, but I'm glad that Luke is going to try to get his rights. Go Luke! __________________

So TV Guide is now mocking fangirl reviews from the NYT.
If you want to know when a reviewer is wrong (not just disagree with their opinion, but flat-out wrong): Quote:

Thanks for the podcast transcript, lorelaisgirl.
Thanks for the ep. description, Gen. Luke will probably follow April to NM and won't get back to SH and Lorelai till 7.22. Chris and the Knit a thon - I don't know what it entails exactly, but I'm guessing that if it's about raising money, then Chris donates the whole sum they were hoping to raise, plus an extra bonus, thus bringing the event to an early closing, and sucking all the fun out of it. __________________

I doubt Luke will leave, are they gonna pay SP not to work for the 2nd half of the season and still leave him 3rd on the credits? IMO we'll get a cliff hanger hiatus "Will Luke leave SH" __________________

Funny that people are hoping that the marriage is illegal. Did you learn nothing from hoping that LC didn't "really" sleep with each other in Partings? Guess not.
