The CW's Official Season Four Press Release!!!!
As season four unfolds, everyone deals with the immediate aftermath of the accident, and the many questions to be answered. Who will survive the accident and how will it affect their lives? In whose purse did Lucas find a pregnancy test at the wedding – could Peyton, Rachel, Brooke or Haley be hiding a secret? And with graduation around the corner, will the end of high school also mean an end to the relationships forged over the last few years, or the beginning of new alliances?
Sidelined by his heart condition, Lucas has to choose between his future and his sense of duty: to go to college or to stay and help his mother raise Keith’s baby. Will he be able to repair his relationship with Brooke, or will he find comfort by returning to Peyton?

Having moved out of Peyton’s house, Brooke must first find a place to live in order to finish her senior year in Tree Hill. She also must decide the future of her relationship with Lucas. Can she see past his kiss with Peyton and Peyton’s feelings for him? She will form a surprising friendship with her former archenemy, party-girl Rachel, a relationship that might spell the end of her lifelong friendship with Peyton.

Will Peyton respect Brooke’s relationship with Lucas, or will she grow tired of being “just friends” with Lucas and tell him how she really feels? Or, after discovering a letter from Ellie that contains a stunning revelation, will Peyton find herself consumed by a new relationship that could take her away from Lucas forever?

Meanwhile, Karen must consider her future without Keith, and the responsibility of being a single parent for the second time. Although Dan says that he wants to be there for Karen and her baby, can she ever forgive him or trust him enough to accept his help?

Dan’s guilt over murdering his brother is overwhelming and while he will try to atone for his sins, he also must deal with taunting clues left by someone who knows his secret.

Finally, terrified that Dan will retaliate against her, Deb will struggle with her sobriety, the terrible residual silence of her divorce from Dan, and the absence of Nathan. For Deb, the devil makes work for idle hands. The journeys of the people who inhabit Tree Hill have been vast, from Lucas’s tentative steps off the river court into high school popularity, from Nathan and Haley’s first kiss to marriage, from Peyton and Brooke’s deep friendship to their estrangement. But in other ways, the journey has only just begun.

Where will the roads lead them? And who will they be when they reach their destination? The answers lie in a place called Tree Hill.

“One Tree Hill” is from executive producer and show creator Mark Schwahn (“Coach Carter”), executive producers Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins, Joe Davola (“Smallville”) and Greg Prange for Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Episode 4.12 "Resolve"
January 24, 2007

STEPHEN COLLETTI (“LAGUNA BEACH”) GUEST STARS — With senior prom only weeks away, Haley's (Bethany Joy Galeotti) frustration over her injuries increases and Skills (Antwon Tanner) and Mouth (Lee Norris) hatch a plan to help Nathan (James Lafferty) earn money for the big dance by stripping. Brooke (Sophia Bush) betrays Rachel (Danneel Harris) in order to get closer to a new guy (guest star Stephen Colletti, “Laguna Beach”) and Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) resolve to be happy. Struggling with her drug addiction, Deb (Barbara Alyn Woods) makes a choice that could end her life. Paul Johansson, Moira Kelly and Barry Corbin also star. Moira Kelly directed the episode written by Michelle Furtney-Goodman

TV Guide description:The approach of the senior prom causes Haley to be even more frustrated by her injuries; Skills and Mouth come up with an interesting plan to help Nathan's money troubles; Brooke gets closer to a new guy in town (Stephen Colletti) at Rachel's expense.
(credit to SusanXG)

L/P have a conversation where they realize that for so long their lives have bounced from one catastrophe to another, and along the way, they've become addicted to the chaos. (Like it feels weird if there's nothing bad happening because disaster has become the norm.) So in one scene, Lucas asks Peyton to help him quit being a chaos junkie.

Stephen Coletti (Laguna Beach) makes his first appearance as Chase, a transfer student at Tree Hill High. Chase is a member of the Clean Teens group that was introduced in episode 4. He immediately attracts Rachel's attention. She is puzzled why he doesn't want to sleep with her, and he explains that he is interested in more than just sex with a girl. Apparently, his former girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend. Brooke also sees him and is immediately intrigued.

Brooke does steal a calculus test and Haley later asks her about the missing keys. Haley thinks that Rachel stole them, but Brooke lies to Haley and defends Rachel.
(Credit to UDflyer and Cathy)

Lucas and Peyton take Haley to a strip club for amateur night. There, Nathan, Mouth and Skillz compete for a prize that will be beneficial for N/H. Lucas does not strip. Brooke is not there, but the other cheerleaders are.

A little bit of a revival for the P/H friendship. They share some cute scenes. Haley is a little low, and when L/P arrive at the apartment, Haley is in her pajamas. Peyton says that Haley has to find her sense of adventure, and Haley comments that the "accident" has taken that away from her, and she's not her normal self. Peyton tells Haley that she has to go with her and Lucas because Haley "has to see something." (referrring to Nathan at the strip club)

Lucas gets in trouble for passing a note to Peyton in class. The teacher catches him and makes him read it aloud.

Still recovering from the "accident," Haley is on crutches in episodes 11 and 12.

Brooke aces her calculus test. She thanks Rachel for what she did for her. (stolen test) Chase asks her to tutor him since he didn't do as well. Brooke is more than willing. Later, they go down to the beach and make out. Chase then takes Brooke home at the end of the evening.

Brooke and Chase eat ice cream and walk and talk along the Riverwalk. Their dialogue is flirty banter. He tells her about his parents and their great love/marriage.

Certain characters discuss the upcoming prom.

Episode 4.13 "Pictures of You"
January 31, 2007

CAN ONE DAY CHANGE EVERYTHING? — A class assignment reveals the deepest secrets and desires of Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and the students at Tree Hill High. Worried about college prospects, Skills (Antwon Tanner) turns to Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti), while Nathan (James Lafferty) wrestles with Deb’s (Barbara Alyn Woods) suicide attempt. Chase (guest star Stephen Colletti, “Laguna Beach”) learns that Brooke (Sophia Bush) cheated on her calculus exam, while nudity and drugs run rampant in the halls of the school. Paul Johansson, Moira Kelly, Lee Norris and Danneel Harris also star. Les Butler directed the episode written by Mark Schwahn.

TV Guide.com description: The kids partner up for an eye-opening school assignment that involves divulging personal information and learning how others see them

The pairings for the school project are:
Nathan/Peyton
Lucas/Glenda
Brooke/Chase
Bevin/Rachel
Skills/Haley

Glenda (3.16 and 4.04) returns and shares a scene with Lucas at school. Apparently, kids are making fun of Glenda in class and Lucas runs after her to talk with her.

Brooke and Haley are talking, and Brooke keeps noticing that Lucas is staring at Peyton who is laughing while in conversation with someone else. Brooke asks Lucas about his feelings towards Peyton, and he shares more than what she expected from him.

Episode 4.14 "Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers"
February 7, 2007

STEPHEN COLLETTI (“LAGUNA BEACH”) GUEST STARS — Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) confronts Brooke (Sophia Bush) regarding the stolen calculus test. Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Peyton (Hilarie Burton) consider taking their relationship to the next level as Peyton and Brooke grow closer. In Deb's (Barbara Alyn Woods) absence, Nathan (James Lafferty) throws a senior party at the Scott House where a sex tape from Nathan's past surfaces. Paul Johansson, Moira Kelly, Lee Norris and Danneel Harris also star. Janice Cooke directed the episode written by William H. Brown.

It is revealed that Brooke and Nathan slept together way back when N/P were a couple. This revelation will have a ripple effect on most of the core relationships.
.
(Credit to SusanXG)

Lucas and Peyton become very passionate at the party, but their special moment is interrupted by the commotion about the tape .

"Haley slaps Rachel and confronts her about the stolen test
and how she went after Nathan earlier this season.

Peyton punches Brooke in front of everyone because she slept
with Nathan when he was dating Peyton. There's a sex tape. The extras
were told to "react" to the tape although nothing was shown at the time,
so it's feasible to believe clips of this tape will be edited into the
footage for the episode.

The party's at the Scott house, and from the way it sounded,
Nathan and Haley may be moving into the house. This can't be confirmed
as it was only implied, but it would make sense with Deb's problems.

Skills, believing that the tape is basketball highlights, starts to play the tape at the party. Then at the end of the episode, everyone sees the N/B "act."
(credit to Indian Summer)

Lucas tells Peyton that he's ALWAYS loved her, not just that he loves her. But they do not have sex for the first time contrary to what is indicated in the episode description.

Episode 4.15 "Prom Night at Hater High"
February 14, 2007

Writers: Mike Herro & Dave Strauss

This episode is the morning of the prom.

There was a flashback scene filmed for the Nathan/Brooke pre-story, but it is not a sex scene.

Nathan/Brooke do remember their drunken night together.

It is revealed that Nathan and Brooke were both drunk when they slept together. Apparently, Brooke was more so than Nathan. Also, it is revealed that their tryst happened after Nathan and Peyton had just broken up for like the 100th time in their relationship.

Episode 4.16 "You Call It Madness, But I Call It Love"

Writer: Terrence Coli

This episode is the night of the actual prom.

Episode 4.17

Writer: Mark Schwahn

******************************************************************
GENERAL SPOILERS

Haley feels her baby kick for the first time in either 13 or 14.

Nathan tells Peyton that he is scared to death to be a father. I believe this happens in 13, but I am not positive.

The Nathan/Brooke tryst will not ruin the B/H friendship.

Brooke and Chase's story will be about falling in love and about all of the romantic parts of a relationship.

PsychoDerek's return will have a happy ending for Peyton and B/P. Brooke and Peyton's friendship will be stronger than ever after this crisis ends.

Lucas and Peyton will have their moments of happiness (11, 12, 13) and then drama will ensue, but not in the form of the dreaded triangle, trust me.

Sunkist is sponsoring "One Tree Hill coming to someone's home town" to do an episode. The rumor about N/H visiting her parents, unfortunately, isn't true. The studio wouldn't pay Huey Lewis and Bess Armstrong the money for their return appearance. (from Curlyhead )

"From what I've heard we will see Nathan as the calm one about the pregnancy at times. I actually got the words that he was "running around like Super Dad." They are going to be there for each other but they will have their realistic struggles." (Duck Girl at 911)

Lucas & Peyton get together before the end of the season. It's already been scripted (hoydenish).

Spoilers from Mark's interview with Kristin at E!:

At some point it will be revealed that Dan killed Keith. Keith will appear as either a ghost or an angel in one episode.

It will take a while, but Brooke and Peyton will mend their friendship.

Mouth and Rachel may have a real romantic relationship this season.

Quote from Sophia Bush to Kristen @ E.:
"We are stirring the pot! It is heavy. It is drama packed. It's going to be really exciting. And I can't reveal anything, because if I reveal one detail, the whole web will unfold!" This is what Sophia Bush tells me of the new season of One Tree Hill. But when asked whom she wants her character to be with, she cracks just a smidge. "You know, I think my character might just end up with somebody new by the end of the season. I'm hearing rumblings!"

Elisabeth Harnois (Shelly, 4.04) will be returning for three episodes: 12, 13 and 14.

JJ Redick is not making any appearances on OTH as of 1/9/07. We will inform you if the show makes a deal with him.

*****************************************************************

TV Guide interview with Mark Schwahn on January 17, right before episode 4.11

TVGuide.com: The show definitely left off on a different note before the holidays, when deceased Keith (Craig Sheffer) returned to enlighten Lucas. What made you do that sort of episode?

Mark Schwahn: We usually go into our hiatuses with big cliff-hangers, but as you know, the week before had all the cliff-hangers — the big car accident with Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti), and Lucas' heart attack. Normally that's where we would leave the audience, but this is our fourth season, and I just felt like we didn't have an opportunity to play Christmas because [it's] actually spring in the lives of the kids in Tree Hill. Around the holidays, people miss their loved ones, and I wanted to write an episode that told those people it was going to be OK. A couple of people said, "Why is It's a Wonderful Life on the TV in the hospital if it's spring?" I wanted to remind the audience and the people of Tree Hill that it is a wonderful life.

TVGuide.com: And then at the end we see Lucas open his eyes, so we know he's awake. The main question I was left with was whether he'd remember that he had that experience.

Schwahn: His journey, certainly in the next handful of episodes, is in coming to terms with what he saw. When you're visited by a dead uncle while you're unconscious, do you act on the things you saw? Do you believe them?

TVGuide.com: But at the same time, Nathan (James Lafferty) has been having visions, trying to remember what happened at the bridge a while back. Will he and Lucas bond over seeing Keith?

Schwahn: We use Peyton (Hilarie Burton) as more of a conduit for Lucas to cycle through all of these things, because Peyton has had so much loss in her life. And it was her who said to Nathan — when he told her at Rachel's house party that he had seen Keith — "Do you not believe it could happen, or do you not believe it could happen to you?" If anybody had a stake in believing that you could see people you have lost, it would be Peyton. It's a very smart instinct to bring Nathan and Lucas together over this, but Lucas shared a kiss and confessed his feelings for Peyton. Now what are they going to be?

TVGuide.com: Right, is it going to make them stronger together?

Schwahn: Well, I think it has the opportunity to. They're two kids that carry around the weight of the world quite a bit. Can they agree together to let go of that weight? The theme for Lucas and Peyton is, "How do you learn to be happy when you've spent so much time carrying grief around? Do you feel guilty for being happy? Is it OK to let it go, especially when you're 17?" Does he have a responsibility to act on the things that he saw, and should he take them to Karen (Moira Kelly), open up those wounds for her again, based on, what, a dream?

TVGuide.com: As far as Nathan and Haley go, I thought for a minute that you might have her lose the baby because of the car accident. Was that ever a consideration?

Schwahn: I love Nathan and Haley, and most of our audience does as well. If we let them be happy, they'd probably be bored, but I never considered having her lose the baby. She would be losing it because of the decisions and mistakes that Nathan had made, and I just didn't feel like they could recover from that.

TVGuide.com: This week, Haley discovers Nathan's dealings with Daunte, which caused the accident. Is that going to break them apart?

Schwahn: In a refreshing turn for Tree Hill, he's going to tell her the truth! [Laughs] She's going to struggle with his deception — not to the degree that our misdirected promo department will lead you to believe — but she certainly has issues with his decision-making. It's a pretty satisfying arc for them. Ultimately, I think that Nathan and Haley, as a couple, can weather almost any storm.

TVGuide.com: And meanwhile, Dan (Paul Johansson) is facing murder charges, sitting pretty in jail after taking the blame from Nathan. Is he finally going to be punished for a lifetime of cruelty, even if this particular accident wasn't his fault?

Schwahn: Probably not. [Laughs] Here's what's really interesting: He may flip out of this one. It may be because he's pulling strings, it may not be. I feel that he took the fall for Nathan because he's healing himself for murdering his brother. If he is set free, that may be the worst thing to happen to Dan.

TVGuide.com: That's true. He's really haunted.

Schwahn: He's very haunted, and it's almost like he's trying to punish himself without saying, "I murdered my brother," because he knows he could never recover from that. If set free, it's almost like he's in his own personal prison.

TVGuide.com: I thought the truth about Dan killing Keith might come out when Lucas revisited the high-school shooting scene. Is that secret going to come out, or what?

Schwahn: That secret will come out.

TVGuide.com: This season?

Schwahn: Yes, this season. I don't know if it will come out before the next hiatus, though.

TVGuide.com: It's so frustrating to watch!

Schwahn: It's a delicate balance. How long do you drag it out? Is there a point where the audience is simply frustrated, or are they still intrigued and putting the pieces together? There is a person who knows the truth and [that person] will turn up the heat. Increasingly, Dan will find that his world is shrinking in terms of the deceit he carries around.

TVGuide.com: If Dan gets out of jail, will we see more of him getting closer to Karen? It's kind of creepy that he's been inching his way back into her life while she's pregnant with his dead brother's baby.

Schwahn: I know, it is creepy, because the audience knows the truth. But I really don't suffer Karen for the choices she's making, because she is in a vulnerable position and she doesn't have many people to turn to. Deb's pill addiction is taking her out of the friendship loop, and Karen finds herself isolated with another pregnancy, similar to where she was 17 years ago — and the guy who abandoned her then is available to her [now] emotionally.

TVGuide.com: Are we going to come full circle here?

Schwahn: What I'm compelled by is [the fact that] as they grow closer, the truth about Dan murdering Keith grows closer as well, and that's going to lead to some explosive things.

TVGuide.com: Is Keith going to visit the Tree Hill gang again?

Schwahn: He might. I actually have a scenario where we would see Keith again. I don't know if we're going to do it, but there's a possibility.

TVGuide.com: Is the Brooke/Peyton/Lucas triangle going to continue, or will Brooke (Sophia Bush) have a separate story line?

Schwahn: Brooke's story line right now is that she's failing calculus and she's going to decide not to cheat but to study. She's going to learn, in her words, that she's "Brooke smart" and not book smart, at which point she and Rachel are going to set their sights on stealing the calculus exams. That story line intersects with Shelly (Elisabeth Harnois), the leader of Clean Teens, who we met earlier in the year. There's a new member of Clean Teens, Chase, played by Stephen Coletti from Laguna Beach, and Brooke's going to take an interest in him. At that point, we'll find out how dedicated he is to a life of abstinence. [Laughs] There is a huge fan base dedicated to Brooke and Lucas, and sometimes [those people] feel a bit betrayed, just as the fan base dedicated to Peyton and Lucas felt betrayed. That tells me that we've done things correctly — that's the strength of a love triangle. Peyton spent a really authentic time with Jake, and I think that Brooke could spend a really authentic time with another character, which doesn't necessarily mean she won't find her way back to Lucas or he won't find his way to her.

TVGuide.com: Do you know if the show will be on next season?

Schwahn: No, I don't, and if you can find out for me.... [Laughs] I've talked about jumping the show ahead five years and skipping college if we come back next season. It's unprecedented and it's never been done, and I think it would be a really compelling journey to take. It doesn't mean we wouldn't go back and dedicate entire episodes and substantial moments to nights in college that affected where they are now.

TVGuide.com: I think I would want to see that!

Schwahn: Well, I would want to write it. When most of these shows go to college, it's hard to create the energy and enthusiasm for their journeys, but as a storyteller, there's such a sense of excitement to tell those stories. I think it would reinvigorate the show in a really good way, so hopefully the CW will see the merits in it.

Episode 4.13. "Pictures of You"

"Pictures of You"-- As a class assignment, the students are paired off and must learn things about each other they never knew in order to answer the question: Can spending 50 minutes with someone change your perception of that person?

Episode 412: "Resolve"

(Thanks to micfall)
The Clean Teens discover Rachel is using her so called 'virgin' status to actually get sex, so they kick her out of the club, but Brooke (Sophia Bush) decides to stay after she becomes smitten with Chase (Stephen Colletti ), who is a committed Clean Teen.

Man. Nothing makes me happier than this Brooke/Nathan storyline.

Finally, we have evidence that Brooke is a malicious hypocrite (sorry Brooke fans, I don't like her).

That, and, they make the HOTTEST couple that could possibly be on the show.

With the exception of Jeyton, but thats just my opinion.

I disagree. This storyline's just so OOC for me. It's pointless and useless.

hey guys....I'm emma and it's my first time posting on this thread.

While I find the idea of brooke/nathan a little strange...I did always predict this int he beginning. Plus, I've always been a Brooke shipper and while though this is not an ideal storyline, it is indeed better than the Brick storyline (plegh). It's going to open up the vulnerable side of Brooke and make for some serious discussion. Plus, we never see any actual brathan interaction, and it might be nice to see them have some sort of heart-to-heart in that episode or the one after.

Whatever. Brooke has only been a malicious hypocrite for the past three months. That's all. This wasn't written prior.

Thanks for the new thread Rebecca

Brining my post over from the last thread:

Quote:
So, I was thinking...what if the reason Peyton punches Brooke is because she thinks Brooke slept with Nathan while he was with Haley? I mean...who knows what Peyton or Haley will think at first other than "EWWW"...but I don't think Peyton will assume that it happened while they were dating. Her and Haley both might think it happened when NH were together...maybe when Haley was on tour or whatever.

Haley, Peyton, and Lucas could all think Brooke slept with a married man. And that's why Paul told Joy to push James like "her husband cheated on her". Makes sense to me now. Would you be thinking about when it happened or would you just be thinking about how they cheated on you?

I mean...NH have been together for a while now. Why would Peyton automatically assume it happened when they were dating?

And:

Quote:
Plus, we never see any actual brathan interaction, and it might be nice to see them have some sort of heart-to-heart in that episode or the one after.
Why would they have a heart-to-heart? Personally, I think Nathan would be a little more concerned with how his wife was feeling than how Brooke was feeling. Brooke was just another drunken hook-up for him. I doubt he cared at all what she was feeling...past or present. Nathan will be too busy trying to get Haley to forgive him than waste any time talking to Brooke.

Yeah, exactly...it is completely OOC. And obviously that person who posted that didn't read all of the spoilers.
