I just watched the promo on the CW site. At the point when Luke says, "there's hay everywhere", Sookie looks over in his direction. Lorelai on the other hand is quite noticeably looking straight ahead with her head held high.

In a proud/snobby like attitude reminiscence of Emily, she rocks back and forth in her chair while maintaining a very upright posture. She is very serious and pouting and looks quite uncomfortable and uptight.

It’s not the typical Lorelai that we are use to seeing at the town meetings. It doesn’t look like she is very comfortable with Luke being so close in proximity.

as for the way luke said it....the man was going through a major crisis, I think we should cut him a little slack.

and that is after the fact and if he actually says that I will seriously not believe it comes out of his mouth - now that would be so hurtful if he actually says that opposed to how he acted - and then he will be the one who will look horrid during that time and what we are supposed to forgive Lorelai for stupping Chris - and do the writers want me to hate luke in the last five episodes because now I will have to forgive a fictional tv character - I could digest him being mean to her and ignoring her but I can't digest that he intentionally did it like he sat in his apartment and conciousnly (sp) said oh how can i make lorelai not like me right now just because this kid came into my life.

no amount of retconning could make me believe it. I think that caption is like the promos overblowing putting things that aren't in the actual episode. I believe luke is apologizing for the way he acted and possibly using april as an excuse during the ultimatum scene. Otherwise, they basically undid the luke redemption. I am gonna be a broken read and say this: LUKE WAS FALLING.... how many people who are in that type of situation keep their head.

i still aborh (sp) the april storyline - its like they took this wonderful thoughtful intense character and made him someone else

you know watching sp's recent green air clip he said he had an hour and he wanted to get out of his trailier and then go back and stand on his mark and then he smirked and the way he said it was like hey guys its just a job and i was like watching this clip thinking the man has no clue how we all talk

So I guess I've been behind and was just reading AA's this week and more specifically his answer to Lancer's question. And after reading this, "The details about who does what changed, but the amount of time they're on screen together is just the same. And it's just as significant to their story line." I am totally getting proposal vibes from LL.

I hope there are at least a couple of nice, lighter LL moments before the singing. So far it sounds like awkward, awkward, awkward, drunk declaration, ... Don't we need to see some angst-free scenes where they remember why they like each other?

Shu, which phone convo in epi 10? That was the Thanksgiving epi, yeah? I hated that one. I thought that LL convo in SCPP was awful, but, either way, it was the convo with Anna that "broke" Lorelai not any convo with Luke. Another inexplicable cop-out by ASP. I think clmorrow has written a nice post or two on that topic, but I like me some trees.

ETA You meant the scene at the end of epi 10 where he goes to call April from the DFI pantry? Oh.

at a distance ........ so he didn't want to marry her - why didn't he have the balls to say that - maybe he wasn't ready to marry her why use the spawn guess the spawn was a good thing because now we see the true luke
