Hiatuses are long, evil things... the last one went from Dec. 6th to Jan. 22nd. So, yeah, over a month long.

Random thought: does anyone think that they'll do flashbacks like they show in the promo when they read the letter? I don't know, to me it would kind of show Luke's realization that he's always been good enough for Lorelai...

I don't think so. They've showed flashbacks in a lot of promos before and I don't think GG's ever had flashbacks to actual old episodes. I think SP's good enough at expressing emotions and thoughts without words that he'd be able to show us what's going through Luke's mind on his own.

I wondered the same thing awhile ago, but I actually think the opposite of you. I think it would be kind of tacky to have flashbacks play when the letter is read. I don't know -- it just doesn't seem very GG to me. But maybe if it's executed properly...

Not as bad as LOST, how long has that been off (3 months) and they only had 6 eps before their break!

I doubt it, only because we can't forget it's already going to be switching from Luke and Christopher. The flashbacks would be a nice touch if it was just Luke but all that switching would be a bit much JMO.

Might need to watch the 6 eps back to back to remember what happened!

As for the flash backs in the eps, IMO no but since this is DSR he might surprise us. I'm thinking they will cut back and forth between Chris (by him self) and the court room showing the reactions of Luke and Anna's and maybe April is she is there, but since she's not in the DC I'm not sure she will be.

ETA - thanks 2ggObsessed for the promo, so no walk out?
