Actually, it makes perfect sense, given the way the writers plan to finish off Logan in 7.21.

7.22's conversation between Rory and Lorelai will go something like this, I would expect, given that we now know Logan ain't even in the ep, thanks to dear Ausiello. "I'm glad you turned him down, honey; nasty, overprivileged, cocky Logan wasn't right for you...What ever happened to that nice Jess boy?"

Seriously, these last few eps seem to have been written by the Comittee That Hates All Sophies...(also known as the Kick That Logan Boy, Since He Doesn't Deserve to Be Happy Writing Comittee.)

Why do we even care anymore, if Logan ain't in 22 after the inglorious kick in the teeth he'll get in 21?

I propose that we use the following title in one of the upcoming threads: This thread has become useless and irrelevant, and be done with it.

I guess it is confirmed that Logan is not in the finale now. Egh. I had held out some hope, but it has all dwindled away now. There is no way I am tuning in for the Rory and Lorelai mother-daughter unhealthy love fest that will be the finale.

George, I can see the conversation going like that. Rory really needs to stand up to her mom, especially in light of these recent spoilers. No matter who Lorelai vents to, she has no right to make comments such as those she makes about Logan. If Luke had not bailed her out with the Dragonfly, she would have lost a lot of money as well. However, Lorelai being Lorelai, thinks that she is above everything and everyone else. Why did I ever like her character?

Thinking about the Global Promo, the only character I can relate to Lorelai right now is Gollum from The Lord of The Rings. I can see her hugging Rory tighly and screaming "this is my precious" at Logan's face...

Even though I wish I didn't feel this way, I am slowly, very hesitantly starting to think this is the case. I must say I have never felt more resistance when it came to this show than on this matter. It unfortunately does make sense, in a twisted way to me, but well ... &^%$ this annoys the hell out of me ...

But even though I feel that way, I also feel there is definitely some inconsistency of the stories. If not the case then I can only conclude that I was obviously hit by oblivious stick, since I really thought Lorelai was very much warming up to Logan ... or well that is what I thought. But hell, I also thought Rory really loved Logan and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, so go figure ... If I have to accept the latter not being the case, accepting that Lorelai is suddenly not pro Logan is easy in comparison ...

All I can say is this about ASP and now DR ... when ASP was around I didn't have so much trouble (or not at all really) to figure out what she wanted to bring across, I dunno there was some kind of logic I understood ... DR seems to have this questionable ability to make me go HUH for not just a couple of hours, but well for quite some time now. And there doesn't seem to come an end to this HUH ... I am not liking the feeling

You know, I'm equal parts angry and sad these days--angry about the break-up, angry at Lorelai; and sad that a show that so many people (myself included) have loved for so long is going to end in such a crappy way. I don't think it's really sunk in yet.

Thanks for reminding everyone of my post from the previous thread.

With the above being said, however, that doesn't give ANYONE license to unnecessarily bash or post derogative remarks about Rory's mother. This IS the Rory/Logan spoiler thread. Granted, Rory doesn't live in a bubble and her mother will most likely have some remarks or comments about her breakup, but there is no need to constantly bash or put down a third character that basically has very little to do w/ this couple. So, let's not go there, people. I would like to not see the same thing for Rory either, or Logan, for that matter, when either one of them does something to piss you (in general) off. Sure, loving a couple doesn't mean you are going to agree or like everything that said couple does, or even what each character of the couple says or do, and that's fine to express those opinions, but chill w/ the constant negativity here of a couple that you claim to love and adore. That is NOT what this thread is about.

Lastly, I don't want to get into thread titles debate at this thread. We haven't had problems before. Do not start w/ that now. Keep the titles neutral and unbiased about Rory/Logan. Or, there will be none at all.

Excuse me, and pardon me kindly; if I'm not positively enchanted and thrilled to bits with the spoilers that say that this couple's end will be for Rory to essentially say: "Obviously I never did care for you as much you cared for me, Bye." I must surmise it an unsubtle message from the writers to the shippers of this couple that basically says: go to hell; compounded by the fact that poor Logan doesn't rate even a measly appearance in the finale. By all means, excuse me for being bitter and upset due to this trainwreck of an ending for our ship, after all our hopes.

The reason there is "constant negativity" in this thread is that not a single positive spoiler seems to remain for them. There is nothing positive to spec about, unless you know something I don't.


We bargained and hoped for Austen's Pride and Prejudice ending, and instead we get served up by the writers with a reprise of the ending to Pushkin's Eugene Onegin.

Yes, I read through the postings from last night and this morning. CRAPPY. Logan is only mentioned in the finale. After everything, he becomes a footnote, less than a footnote. Crappy way to end a story they built up. Crappy...

Rosenthal and company should never be allowed to run a show again. They should never be allowed to write...not even a sentence to a story...not even a phrase.

GeorgeIII- I didn't say that you need to be positively enchanted and thrilled about this couple at ALL TIMES. Read my post carefully. I understand bitterness. Believe me. I have my favorites on my TV shows as well. But to unnecessarily bash Rory's mother at the Rory/Logan APPRECIATION thread? To run Rory into the ground because she says no to a proposal on the Rory/Logan APPRECIATION thread? To constantly berate Logan for whatever he has done on the Rory/Logan APPRECIATION thread? Come on now. I don't think so. Keep things in perspective. You can find ways to express your thoughts and opinion without a constant black cloud at this thread. It isn't that serious, really. And, no, there isn't something I know that you don't, but I believe you can attempt to try and find something positive to talk about at this APPRECIATION thread that you've all wanted and had for a very long time.

If that's the case, you might as well close the thread now, since I believe you're not gonna find much enthusiasm among the people that still post on this thread to try to find something positive where there is nothing to be found. If people can't even vent here, there is no further purpose to this thread.
