Unless there is a plan to deviate from the comic story substantially and he's not a replacement.

I don't even get why they brought him on. They said he would mentor Barry and I know I've been watching on and off, but I don't think that ever happened :/

I don't think Wally is meant to be Barry's replacement. Is he even a regular?

He's going to become a regular after the Xmas episode, but I doubt they're going to have him replace Barry all that quickly (even in the comics, it was several years before that happened). I think his story will be West-Related rather than Flash-related. I don't think Wally even has his powers yet (although with Wells making that serum, who knows what's going to happen).

Considering Wally started out as Barrys sidekick I don't think we have anything to worry about since they would be following the same path.

My expectation is there most likely will be changes to the comic's that fit more into a television audience. It's the where in the story, and wonder if Wally's arc is one of them.

Unfortunately he is. The fact the show sees no problem with casting an actor that looks as old as Grant as Wally, and making him a regular, is surprising to me.

If anyone's actually read the comics they know it's a long time before Barry dies and Wally takes over. Unless it's Season 15, this isn't even an issue.

I don't even get why anyone's acting like it's a thing when he hasn't even walked on screen.

Tbh, there doesn't even need to be changes because it's YEARSSSS before Barry dies in the comics.

Wally's my FAVORITE Flash!

He's awesome and we get to watch him be KidWest then KidFlash. Wally and Iris, Wally and Joe, then his relationship with Barry will be soooo much fun!

Barry teaches Wally how to be the Flash and Iris teaches him how to how be Wally West. Perfection!

It's about the talent not the age and KL had it.

He could be playing 18/19/20 years old. It is the CW.
