I watched an online stream and plan on watching it live here in about 10 minutes. I sure hope my opinion changes in the 2nd viewing because the first one left such a foul taste in my mouth.

Everything was fine until the last 5 minutes. Speechless.

I'm screaming Gina's name!!! Ahhh!!! When she didn't show up for the longest time, I get really nervous. Not what I expected, but it got me all worked up... so for me, the cliffhanger worked...

All in all, it made absolute sense... we fans cannot have what we want and expect longevity too right?! Or can we?

I don't hate the ending I feel bad for Beckett, can't say I trust Gina's intentions but we know they weren't going to do Castle/Beckett right away ,the dance continues and we know she know acknowledges her feelings for him

I understand of course. And at least this time it wasn't a ploy to make her jealous, just him consoling himself because she is with someone else. As far as he knows of course. And he didn't make any stupid, "I'm going to make you jealous" comments. That was all Gina. Who I'm sure did it because between the books and even that five second meeting she can tell what's going on between them.

The ending was so heartbreaking! I felt really bad for Kate. I knew they werent going to get together just yet as it would be too early and they just love to tease us!

I am kinda surprised that Castle and Gina are 'together' after just one phone conversation. I felt that was a bit quick. Maybe it would have made more sense if they had shown Gina in the episode earlier and them getting along, but I guess they wanted the ending to be more dramatic and have her show up.

The whole gina ploy just felt a bit rushed, especially since Castle was just hurting and hes already moving on. That was quick!

But the ending made the most sense, and it was nice to see Kate realizing her feelings for Castle. Its just sad she didnt see this sooner. Cant believe its season finale already, a whole summer without Castle seems like an eternity!

It's Esposito's fault and I expect him to correct things at the beginning of the next season. I think we should get two serious conversations in September: Esposito - Demming (yes, I hope they'll bring him back for at least one episode) with Demming complaining to Esposito that Beckett dumped him and real man-to-man conversation between Esposito and Castle. As a matter of fact I think that Esposito should perform a "sucker punch" on Castle.

I totally agree with all of you But in my eyes I don't think Gina has the best of intentions I think for her it's all a ploy to get him to write his book
it's too soon for Castle/Beckett to get together but it was sad seeing what Beckett had to endure.

I have to say, and I know that I'm probably in the minority here, but I LOVED the episode. All of it.

The ending I thought was the only way they could balance them back to the banter and fun while simultaneously moving them forward. Even if that move forward is, for the moment, in their own minds.

I think Castle quite possibly showed the most mature reaction he has in the show and that is the character development I was waiting for with him. He walked away to let Kate be happy in the relationship he still assumes she was in. He took himself away to get himself together. Gina being there? I honestly think is going to resolve fast. I think she'll either be gone at the start of S3 (a la Will Sorrenson) or will be gone very fast into S3. It'll be a case of 'I remembered why I married her, and then I remembered why I divorced her'.

While I felt massively sad for Kate this week, it was only the same as how sad I felt for Castle last and I love that the writers tugged on my heart strings and with BOTH sides of it, without me 'disliking' one of them.

What *I* am personally most looking forward to in S3 is Castle finding out Kate dumped Demming, as well as specifically WHEN she dumped him
