That's it people! No more posts with just thanks for the new thread! When I see a new post on this thread I get all excited that there's new spoilers. Lately all I've been getting is "TFTNT" and "Thanks for the new thread". Alright already! On behalf of everyone: "Thank-you for the new thread".

The next post I see on here better have some juicy spoiler news or else! I don't know what the "or else" is but just know that there is one. :mad: You're afraid aren't you? Good!!

On a lighter note...I hope everyone had or is having a great weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Please note....I really do appreciate the new thread and I love coming here to get the latest. Spoilers have been sparse for sure. Tom Cullen (the gorgeous Tony Foyle/Lord Gillingham) hasn't posted anything to Instagram in two months. I think he's afraid the wrath of JF will come down upon his head if he inadvertently gives something away. Tight lipped people can be so annoying sometimes!

Carry on...I hope there will be some juicy news soon!

I saw on Tumblr that the casting for Farmer Drewe's wife, Margie, was announced -- she will be played by Emma Lowndes. I don't suppose that gives away much, but it's still nice to get some news.

I wonder if Margie will give away the secret or try to help keep it quiet.

I hope it indicates that we'll be seeing Edith's daughter. It would be even better if we see Edith having some moments with her. It's going to be difficult for Edith to see her daughter and not be able to act like a loving mother towards her. We could have some heartwrenching scenes to deal with I'm afraid. Her daughter will be so close and yet so far.

As for the secret, if you recall Mr. Drewe decided he would tell Margie that a friend of his died and in her will had asked him to take care of her daughter. Only Mr. Drewe and Edith know about this arrangement. We'll have to see how long the two of them can keep this all a secret. Quite intriguing... Thanks again!

Oh, we'll definitely see Edith's daughter, because there have been twin-girls cast to play her!

I think Tom will find out about her. He seemed to be a bit suspicious in the last episodes. Since he is the one most in contact with Tim Drewe, we can assume that he will find out and put two and two together at one point.

We know they filmed on Drewe's farm for in both blocks for Episode 1/2 and 3/4. Some of it might be related just to the estate and farming, but I'm sure some of it will be about Edith's daughter, too.

I definitely think Tom will be the first to find out about Edith and daughter. In the later episodes of series 4 he looked like he thought something was happening with Edith, he just wasn't sure what. He gave her thoughtful looks especially in the CS.

I agree with you that Tom is very likely to figure it all out. Edith didn't do a great job of hiding that something was going on with her. She asked Cora if she thinks she's "bad" and asked Robert if he knew that she would never do anything to hurt him. When she returned from the London trip where she had planned to abort the baby, Tom innocently asks if she had "gotten everything done" while in London. Edith got all nervous and emotional and said something to the effect of "Why do you ask?". Tom gave her a puzzled look and said "No reason".

Edith definitely doesn't have a poker face. I have no idea how she's going to keep this secret. Then there's Violet (who already knows about the baby) and Mary who readily pick up on things when it comes to Edith. I don't think the poor girl has much of a chance to keep it a secret. Maybe that's best in the long run.

I hope Michael returns so he, Edith and their little girl can be reunited. With Edith's history of bad fortune, I'm afraid that's too much to ask.

BTW...any idea how far into filming they are (what episode)?

In true Downton style the secret must be revealed...no one can hide anything for long. :lol: I'm sure Margie will be one of the first to figure it out, since she's the one caring for the child. Edith will probably not be able to stay away and that will start to raise questions.

I agree that Tom will find out soon, too.

Umm, I'm guessing somewhere around the middle by now. Fifth ep?
