ita, I wasnt sure of the timeskip at first but now, I think it the best thing yet, so many great things have happened in season 2. Hope the show comes back stronger than ever, it needs a season 3.

^well, i have a lot to say, but i'll try to keep it brief.

first, i wasn't thrilled about seeing ryan reynolds play the character. nothing against him personally, but he falls into a similar issue i ignitinally had w/chris evans taking on cap, which was playing more than one comic book character. fortunately, for evans, cap & johnny storm are nothing alike and he played it well. i felt like reynolds played jordan similar to other characters i've seen before and this was his third time taking on a comic book character (hannibal king & deadpool). they were similar characters personality wise, especially with king.

i thought the film's plot was weak. characters weren't that interesting even though i enjoyed seeing the planet oa with kilowog & tomar-re. i thought mark strong put in a good performance as sinestro (fav. performance in the film). i thought the lantern's suit was okay. considering his abilities & the world he entered, i figured special effects would be heavily used. what bothered me most was the villain, dr. hammond, then later parallax. i define heroes by the adversities and the opponents they face and i just didn't find dr. hammond, who later becomes parallax a strong contrast for jordan. i know this was just an origin film, but still the execution could've been much better.

henceforth, i wasn't a green lantern fan before i saw this film. i do like the character more since i've been watching the animated series. i just felt like there wasn't a lot of crafting and thought that went into the film. i thought it was made just to test the waters outside of superman & batman as well as for a possible justice league film (which is another topic on its own). i want wb/dc (more so wb) to look at the world they have under their belt and make the right decisions. so much could be done if they took it seriously by working w/people who knew the dc material inside out, have interest in the world, understand the characters and allowed them to create their own vision. if they did that, amazing results would emerge.

sorry for the length. i'm pretty passionate when the material gets translated into film. i'm a dc fan and would love to see that world brought to life in a live action film, but only if it's done right. i'm just not sure those in control at wb understand that like many other fans do.

Didn't he just have a few scenes as Deadpool? Though there is going to be a whole movie about him?

Ryan's performance as Deadpool was good at the start, but fell apart at the end.

Not really his fault, the script ruined Deadpool.

like I said I liked it, the villain was a bit weak, but introducing Sinestro using the yellow ring at the end paves way for a much better villain in the sequel.

^that wolverine film was a mess. plus, they messed up 1 of my favorite characters, gambit.

my faith in how wb is going about these projects doesn't make me feel excited. if they can't improve, then i fear the rest of potential solo films will be in jeopardy. i think it's even daring and risky that they're starting w/a team up film first, which is being released soon.

plus, i miss young justice.

Actually Gambit was one of my favorite things about X-men Origins.

Though Gambit's never been my favorite X-Man.

I miss it too, I guess all of CN's DC block is on hiatus.
