I never saw the movie...Garfield looked different (quite scary). Was the story good?

My aunt just got this new hamper. Garfield's head opens and you can place your clothes inside. Pretty cool. I've been trying to borrow it from her... She gave me the one with the pink flowers and butterflies...

A Garfield hamper? That's too cool. I used to collect everything Garfield when I was growing up, and that would've been the cream on my brulee .

The movie was ok. It was geared more for kids though. Breckin (sp?) was good as Jon, and having Bill Murray as the voice of Garfield was purrrrfect

This was the greatest Saturday morning cartoon of all time!

I have the entire series and all the TV specials on DVD!

Surprisingly it never occured to me how much out of date pop culture references were on this show!

Lucky! I wish I didn't sell off Vol. 1. That time, I was losing the feel for Garfield. I still have my Vol. 2.

What I'm glad is that they didn't use the third intro.

I didnt think it was all that horrid back then but I can see how the intro on the DVD is better.

Shouldve been featured as an extra though.

Probably. I mean, the first intro did have the cartoon feel, the second intro was something I got used to and the one I just linked...I don't know...it just didn't seem to fit in.

What's your guys favorite episodes? I have to look through YouTube and my DVDs but right now, this is one of them.

I think I'm going to whip out my DVDs and watch these old episodes. It's been a while. (Heck, I'm really procrastinating watching my DVDs that I said I'm going to watch. )

Has anyone seen the newest Garfield cartoon show? I think it's shown on Cartoon Network. It's nothing like the original, unfortunately.

Ugh! I've seen it. Or at least a clip on YouTube. Why do animators have that notion that 3D is always better sort of thing? It works for some series but not all. Plus, maybe I've gotten so used to Lorenzo Music's version.

I just find it odd and bizzare that he now moves his mouth when he speaks as opposed to letting his eyes, facial expressions, and poses do all the talking.

Has anyone ever seen the "Garfield Minus Garfield" strips where it's basically strips of Jon and Garfield is edited out where he normally would be. Interesting concept.

Ugh, why do they have to do pretty much everything with that weird-looking computer animation these days

Yeah. The old cartoons is way better than the new 3d one. The 3d version makes me nauseous.

I remember having a Garfield book when I was little that had 3 different holiday stories told in the comic strip form. It had a Halloween story, a Thanksgiving story and a Christmas story.

I think I remember the Christmas one. If I recall correctly, that's the one where Garfield runs away from home, finds himself in the restaurant that he was born in, and meets his parents.
