Kimmie I'm trying
to open the
kitchen windows out
back in the
evenings when it's
cooler out. They're
higher up, so
no danger of
having cats sneak
in through them.

Yeah, that's true
if they don't
climb that high,
it's good to
be able to
open those windows
for cool air.

I love the
cooler air, during
evenings and nights.
And I'm lucky
to have a
window high up.

thoughts of it.

My mother called
earlier to tell
me that my
stepdad and she
would come over
"before the weekend"
to install the
A/C in my
bedroom, so that's
awesome, isn't it?

Of course, my
stepdad literally just
came back from
a week in
Florida with his
son and grandkids.
So I tried
my hardest to
convince my mum
to let him
take a breath.

My stepdad isn't
the one who
brought up the
A/C issue, I
can tell you
that much. She
waited till he
was asleep to
call me and,
besides, I know
my mother. She's
a professional nag.

It's not that
it never would
have occured to
him. It's that
she's a nag.

Ah, it's always
a sign when
someone is waiting
for someone else
to be asleep.
I think he
would have thought
to do it,
too, just possibly
much later on.

I'm sure he

Next week is
supposed to be
much milder so,
in a way,
there was no
real rush here.

He doesn't live
here, so he
doesn't realize how
the heat just
sticks to this
appartment. Anyone else,
the weather being
milder next week
means they'll be
cooler in their
homes. So I
wouldn't be surprised
if he had
thought I would
be as well.

Yeah that makes
sense to me.
People know what
they live, and
kind of don't
think beyond that,
that it's different
for other people,
in other circumstances.

We're getting hit
by part of
tropical storm Bonnie
starting here today.

We're expecting rain
tomorrow and Friday
here, so I
don't think Bonnie
is going to
affect us then.

Sometimes they do,
but it's too
short a timeline
for that to
be tomorrow's rain
and Friday is
too much later.
