Aw, I think that is why clothes shopping is easier for me, and more fun.
But I think you get the joy after the experience. Do you enjoy the shopping at all? I think you're more practical in your shopping, because you need to be. Me, I'm kind of able to just go for what I like. Thank you. __________________

I enjoy shopping only when I know I'll be buying.
Otherwise, it all feels very pointless and stupid to me. Now, pretty much everyone I know loves to browse. So, obviously, I'm in the minority there. I'm just saying, I find shopping painfully tedious unless I know I'm buying something. __________________

Oh you and I agree there.
If there is nothing I'm particularly after, or know I can afford to get something, I hate it. I have zero patience for that. We are in total agreement on that. __________________

I don't understand why anyone enjoys that, to be honest.
If you want to know what's out there, look online, it's all there. What's the point of walking around a store, aimlessly? __________________

That is a really good point.
I just don't think to check online, for anything. It helps we only have like 3 stores here, and they're pretty easy once you get inside, cause they're very small. __________________

I only shop once or twice a year, as you know, and I don't like wasting time "looking" or "browsing."
So I do a lot of advance research. And the stores we go to... I mean, I have no idea really because I've got nothing to compare them to. But they seem large enough. Plus, if ever they are missing some of the stuff I was looking for, that's probably a good thing for my bank account. __________________

Yeah, that would definitely keep you focused.
And would help having a mission, for sure. __________________

Very true.
But I also mean that this is why I shop a lot "online." That's how I know what I expect when I get to the store. So I avoid browsing or not finding stuff I like. __________________

Yeah, I get that.
Anything I see online, I pretty much would have to buy from online. So there would be no trying on, and returning if they didn't fit right. Our stores just have little in them. __________________

Yeah, at least here you can return the stuff you bought online to the physical store, if it doesn't fit or whatever.
But I don't really like to buy stuff online. I need to see how I like being in it. __________________

Oh wow-that never entered my mind.
I didn't realize you could do that. Yeah, I know that's very important for you. I used to have to do that when it was for work uniforms. I think you spend a lot more time around people than I do, so you wear an outfit longer, and can't come home and change as soon as your in the door a short time later. __________________

See, I hadn't thought of how often you might change your outfit on any given day.
Yeah, I essentially have to wear all day what I decide to put on in the morning. Hence looking at the weather and getting very familiar with the basics of layering. Mind you, I have more clothes now than I have ever had in my life. And, proportionally, I don't think I've ever owned so many things that I do like. So there's no hardship in it for me. I rotate my wardrobe often enough that I don't feel too stuck with what I have. There are just some seasons where my options are more limited. __________________

Yeah, I change at least a couple of times during the day.
Usually into more and more comfortable clothes. You definitely have to think through your outfits, as you can't do that. That all makes sense-the way you rotate your clothes. I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying the clothes and outfits you have. |

I do try not get stuck in a sartorial rut.
I can't change during the day, but I usually have a lot of alternatives with me at work. Things like cardigans and scarves if I get cold. And I don't put on my jewellery till I am at work because, in summer, I start sweating the moment I'm out the door and, in winter, it just starts a little later when I get to the metro. __________________
