BTW, I'm supposed to be away Sunday - Tuesday for a teacher training I'm attending/helping host. We're "supposed" to be on the Kings River floating and doing macroinvertebrate investigations and other biological tests. BUT ... with Ike's rains ... not sure.
And that's the point of this post. Ike's rains are supposed to be hitting us here mid-day and usually when it rains even remotely heavy, I loose internet. So if I don't get online until Tues, nobody worry okay! __________________

Car
 Two days in a row... I'm not talking today, so I can teach tomorrow. Thank goodness the next game isn't until Wednesday. Which is also 'Meet the Creature uh.. Meet the Teacher night. The thing at school goes until 7:30 and the game starts at 7:30 so I'll be a little late... guess I'd better take my jersey to school! Well I'd better get working on my lessons for next week! __________________

Oh, I've lost my voice from hockey games myself. Of course, that would my brother's hockey games and not the actual professional ones... I wonder what that says about me.... huh.
Anyway, I'm starting to feel better. Just in time for Monday. Isn't it great how that works out?  Bleh.__________________

So we reportedly caught the tail-end of Ike today here in Quebec. That's what the news is saying anyway. Of course, it's nothing at all like Cuba, Haiti and Texas. Obviously.
It's just abnormal amounts of rain throughout the province and gale winds that shut down power in various spots all over the province for most of the day. But, there you have it, even the "hardest hit" areas are on the verge of getting their electricity back tonight. Oh, and the unusual amounts of moisture in the air condensed on the power lines in the metro this morning, so large parts of it ground to a halt during rush hour. Annoying, yes. The same, absolutely not. __________________

That's just crazy that even in Canada Ike was felt
