for the new thread, LLF. I was just coming to start one, but you beat me to it. A good thing though, since I had no idea for a title. But here's a dumb one, maybe for next time? Somewhere in these 300 posts, you will find some intellect!

See, told you it was dumb. Oh well.

Anyway....trying to catch up a tad....

Hey everyone. I don't even know where to start, ya'll go filling up pages and pages....but I'll try.

Ummm...did someone say they have an Oprah browser? Whaa?

Quote:
Like you, I’ve heard lots of horror stories in regards to AOL, and I’m not even in a country where AOL offers services!
Oh, they really pissed me off. Continued to send bills after we cancelled with them! The nerve. And then they started to cop an attitude, can you believe that? Glad to be rid of them....

SNICKERS FOREVER!
Wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. ::sticks out tongue:: Geeklovers unite.

Sunny - Sorry you burnt your hand I know how it is when a week totally doesn't go your way.

Speaking of not going my/your/whatever way, I was feeling better this morning - besides a really bad stomach ache triggered from not eating because I had no appetite yesterday - and am still a bit conjested, but hopefully this is the last strain of this "cold" or whatever I have. This is what my mom says: "Skye, it's going around. I had it, your father had it. Didn't you hear? Even your brother had it. It's goin' around." I want to choke her! Ahhh, moms! All they say is "It's going around." That is not what you want to hear when your coughing up your lungs....

CB - Computer trouble, hun?

Quote:
I always fix myself something nice to eat and have dinner in front of the TV when watching a show I like (it obviously needs to be a dish that won’t need too much attention when I’m eating it ). Needless to say I don’t pay much attention to the actual taste of it, but it’s the “cooking something nice” thing.
Quote:
Hee, good to hear I’m not the only one who eats in front of the TV. I eat in front of the TV more often than I eat in the kitchen. Good thing I have guests every now and then, so I actually make use of the table in the kitchen for other things than piling stacks of paper on it.

See, but you all actually "make something nice." I go out and make someone else make it for me. See, I am lazzzzy. Actually, I kind of have to hurry, because my brother's TV is soooo complicated. I'm good with technology of some sorts, but this machine is beyond me. He has three frickin' remotes for the damn thing! So I have to go down there at 8 o'clock to figure out how to get it on NBC, then after a good half hour, I run out for some food...come back and curl up with his two big dobermans. Best day of the week, I tell you!

Update on Bosco, Perp and Skel. They are doing very well. Umm, yes. So anyway....

Ok. Whew. I know I missed lots. But to all, anyway and I'll be back.

Oh and one more note...

GEEKLOVE FOREVER!

Just popping in to say thanks for starting the new thread. I'll go edit out lists into the top.

And be back to respond in kind to the massive posts that I've missed.

Phew, it’s safe coming out to play again now. LLF thanks for the new thread.

Skye well, send your servants over to my place so I can be lazy too. Because I have indeed a lazy soul.

Squee!! :insert an appropriate number of blinkies here: If I’d do it myself, I’d exceed the number of allowed smilies in a post in a heartbeat.

I've been out of the loop a bit, so I don't know who does or doesn't watch CSI on here. In any case, LLF, Snickers refers to the obvious chemistry between the characters of Nick and Sara and how, in the end, they need to end up together.

Right, Skye?

Only, not about your health. Good to hear you're feeling better.

Mich, that rocks!

And thanks for doing the new thread, LLF, I so wasn't feeling up to it so I willfully derelected from my duties.

Al - I was so glad I got them... you have no idea, I was literally jumping up and down... My mom thought I've gone crazy!

Waiting for the mailman is no fun, I'm glad you got your DVD!!! Congratulations! I'm sure you'll have loads of fun with it!!

And I don't think I'll actually have to buy a new DVD, as I'm pretty sure ours plays divx, (says so on the manual). But I'm still gonna get my driver fixed since it is indeed not working. It's probably been like this for a long time and I didn't notice cause I wasn't using it.

CB - I think I'm the dumb one. I actually have a CD-RW drive and not a DVD drive (as I wrongly thought) and I have no idea if it's not playing the DVDs because it doesn't read DVDs or because it's broken. Do you know if a CD-RW can play DVDs? I still think it's broken since it's not reading any CD's. But I'm really confused, cause I'm pretty sure it played divx movies before, but maybe they were on a standard 700 MB CD... I dunno...
I know absolutely nothing about these things.
So If it can't actually read DVDs I think I'm just going to replace it with a DVD drive, (regardless of TW, cause I'm still gonna be able to watch them DVD-drive or not) because I still want to have that option of seeing DVDs on my comp... Do I make any sense, or did I get the whole thing wrong?
I'm sorry if you didn't get anything I just said... I am so clueless when it comes to these things.

And it sounds like you had some problems in that area yourself....
Ugh... I so hate it when that happens!!!!!

LLF - Thanks for starting the new thread... Nice title

Sunny, Snickers! Oh, that's funny! I guess I should have posted that, because I'd much rather see her with Nick than with my Grissy-Bear.

Nobelia, No a CD drive won't read DVDs. It may indeed be bad if it isn't reading CDs. Or maybe Windows lost it. Does it show up in your device manager?

Yeah it does show up... it says 'This device is working properly', but when I open my computer, on the first window it says 'CD-ROM not found'.
I Know it's probably a stupid question, but is it possible that I do have a DVD drive and it just doesn't show up anywhere? is that possible?

Do you know how much a DVD drive costs these days? I might as well just skip fixing the CD-RW and go out and buy one. (or should I just fix it and add the drive while I'm at it?)

Sorry, 'tis been a busy day.

at karine, hun I understand about computer games. In the summer when I log on I end up playing Sim City or WarCraft instead of surfing half the time. I don't even touch the games during the week or normally during the school year (unless it is a holiday) because I know I'll never get anything done.

Michelle, well you have inspired me. I'm gonna have to contact Anthony via Mona's site now too. And now you might get autographs? Oh I am sooooooooo jealous.

Alexa, hun, I don't understand those file so I'm sorry I cannot offer help. And yeah, I always do my housework on the weekends. Saturday or Sunday. But Saturday I slept in too late and we were going to go to town so by the time I got up and showered, I didn't have time to sweep and dust and do the bathrooms, kitchen,

to Sophy who missed a marvelous eppy Friday. Not an ensemble marvelous kind, but a Sully lovin' kind.

And at poor LLF waiting a week for her dryer part to come in. When I first read it I thought it was a hair dryer part and I was like, girl, just go buy a freakin' new hair dryer for that hassle!

to Maxi. I don't think anyone ever answered your question while I was busy. WWJD is What Would Jesus Do?

Sis, back at you.

And Nob, I so hope you get those DVD's working. Sometimes burned CDs or DVDs don't work if they are burned at a speed/rate not compatible with certain players.

to Sunny. It's 300 posts, but I think you figured that out by now. And I am soooooooo sorry about your hand. Hubby did something similar back in the summer, except he was brilliant enough to touch the heating element in the dishwasher, and his hand stayed in a bowl of ice all night. It's amazing how ice works.

So it's like a spastic liver or whatever, that has a mind of it's own? I understand. I'd compare it to my irregular heartbeat. When people first hear I take meds for it, they think it's a heart problem and it sooooo isn't. I've had every test imaginable and there are no indications of anything wrong, it's just different.

Now, forgive me if I misunderstood, but a while ago you harassed me for being a Snickers, correct-amundo? But you are a snickers yourself? Or were you just harassing me because you could tell I'd be a snickers?

La la la na la la la at CB's cursing.

shouts out to all the rest of my peeps ....

Kar- Are you kidding me? It is impossible that I harassed you about being a Snkickers. If anything, I remember being overjoyed to see that you shared my feelings in that regards. Do you realize how many people out there believe that Sara should somehow hook up with her older (at least older enough that it looks) former professor? If the ethical barriers that would cross weren't enough, there's the fact that his personality is such that she would have to kiss goodbye forever any hope of ever finding any kind of non-forensics-related kind of fun. And I say this with a lot of love for Grissom. I love that character. I honestly, sincerely do, and for every tiny thing that makes him weird sometimes and not a little awkward around people of the human race.

But Sara and Nick have so much chemistry. It's in every scene they share. In every look, every way they stand besides each other, every gesture, every little thing.

So, if (and that's a huge if) I may have gone a little (and that's a small "little") overboard in my response to your inclination that way, it was only out of joy.

Anyway...

Yeah, spastic liver's a good way to put it.

*whew* I guess I misunderstood or misinterpreted your "you knew I'd be a Snickers" comment in a bad way.
