Well, looks like 6 inches is about all we're getting, which suits me just fine. Too bad most of it fell while we were sleeping.

Satellite is frozen and out on most channels, so I've been watching DVD's and playing Farmville. I'm officially addicted.

So 6 inches. That's about what we got. Sis measured 6. I measured 7 at my house, 9 in one spot.

NEW ONES ....

SNOW : We had 7 inches of snow Friday and so Friday afternoon, Saturday, and today Sis and Kevin and I have gone out and played in the snow. I'm sure Sis will post her own photos too, later.

Friday: snowball fights and sledding down the hill and snow angels.



Saturday: 4 wheeling with Mom and Dad and site seeing



Sunday: snowman and snowcat making

Too funny. It has been snowing non stop here for a few days as well. It is too cold for our snow to stick together though, and I can hardly wait for it to melt in a few months. Snow ick.

I gave up on Farmtown, but I still play Farmville and mafia wars. I am hopelessly hooked on bejeweled.

Ok, I should go, I bought a new down jacket yesterday and the dog is bouncing by the door... I think it is walk time before it gets too much darker.

to Norla. Oh I tried bejeweled and can't really play anymore. It's beyond addicting. I swear the last time I played I was like 'one more round' and then I played for over an hour more and probably never blinked once. My eyes hurt so bad.

Farmville, definitely. Yep, on facebook. I've never tried bejeweled, too many of my friends are addicted. Played FarmTown, but I have a harder time keeping up with that.

We ended up with around 8 inches of snow. It is supposed to rain freezing rain tonight, and then winter storm round 2 on Thursday night-the weekend.

I'll be back tomorrow, when I'm hopefully feeling better.

Nori How's Marshall?

The weather here is annoying. Every year, I know February's gonna be a paint in the tuckus, and yet every year I still manage to be shocked at how annoying it is. And it's only the first of the month.

But I can't deal. If it were snow... well, that'd be annoying, too. Lord knows I hate shovelling. But it would beat these fracking winds. This morning I almost choked in the metro because my breathing was already compromised because of the cold when someone walked in smelling like they'd spent hours inside a tiny room filled with smoke and no ventilation.

I'm sure I looked like a prize idiot, clutching my scarf over my mouth and nose that way, but it we were like sardines in there, so it's not like I could move away. And I had already taken my asthma medicine before leaving the house, so I couldn't have another shot for six hours.

Bleh. My people are from Ireland, Scotlant and Northern France. Can somebody explain to me how it is that I'm not better suited, genetically speaking, to deal with this freaking season?

Although, I've been reading a book of quotes on Canada, and some of them are really hilarious, in a painful sort of way: "Canada has nine months of winter and three months of road repair."

I think the road repair bit is being way too generous, but you get the gist.

I'm going silly. It's the sleep deprivation, and the Vitamin D depletion.

:Sunny: You have road repair? Here they just throw some tar and gravel together and shove it into the potholes, then they are suprised when they only last until the first rain!

The snow continues here, I've done the driveway once and the deck twice since coming home from school. I'm so sick of it! Like sunny February always is shocking. My ancestors are Scottish, Irish and English with some Dutch thrown in for good measure, so I too should be genetically inclined to love this!

Thank goodness for March break and Mexico on March 5!

Marshall is as crazy as always. He has been in Doggy Boot Camp, after he decided to run on me about 3 weeks ago. He was headed down the center of a well used road, leash bouncing along behind him, nearly got squished by a truck, and then a police car was coming right at him, I waved my arms and they turned on their lights stopped their car and the constables got out and 'surrounded' my dog, who seemed to know he was busted and sat down. Yup, my dog was stopped by the cops. The kidlets nicknamed him Reebok the runner, and needless to say he was enrolled in boot camp two days later!

Aaaahhh... so those video games you've been mentionning are Facebook video games. And here I've been sitting and wondering, "When did everyone on the TW board get Wii?"

Nori Oh, don't you worry, our road repair doesn't actually repair our roads either. Seriously, why would we want to have fully repaired roads? It would make no sense.

Well, I completed my wikipedia assignment yesterday. Now, until the teacher reviews and grades it, I'm gonna be on pins and needles, crossing my fingers and praying that wikipedia doesn't erase it before my teacher gets to it, praying my teacher deems it a suitable historical topic, and praying I don't come off as a total loony tunes doing it on Nellie Bly.

At any rate, it it freaking cold still. And we lost power today, again. Though it was back on by the time I came on, so I suppose we'll file that in the victory category.
