I love this movie, but I hate Charlie.

The "remake" wasn't very good.

Why do you hate Charlie?

I can't stand the 'remake,' if you can even call it that.

I don't know. He's just always bothered me. I guess it's just the way he acts, and his facial expressions.

I think my favorite scene is when everyone is on the boat and Willy Wonka seems like he's going mad and different images are flashing by. It's always creeped me out, but in a very fascinating, cool way.

That is, without a doubt, my least favorite scene. It scared the hell out of me as a kid, and it still gives me the heebeejeebees.

I watched this movie last night at my friend's house when I spent the night there and this one has got such a YUMMY opening! This film NEVER gets old for me and I've seen it a million times.

Every time I watch the opening, I feel as though I've gained at least 100 pounds.

Same. The original I loved as a kid, but after reading the book, I don't really enjoy it but still consider it a must-see classic. Tim Burton did a much better job!

I never liked the original Willy Wonka, I fell in love with the new one because of the crazy, the colour and the fact that Tim Burton had his hand in it!

That's a great way to describe the new one: color. (I'm in United States, my computer won't let me spell it colour without trying to correct my spelling, lol).

The original was a great idea, but even it flopped at the box office in its day. The use of colour and imagery in Tim Burton's version made it the magical place it needed to be to live up to the book's representation, at least that's my opinion.
