Thank god that never happened the film doesn't need remaking!

The Martian - great cast in this drama about an astronaut trying to get back to Earth. Really good film :D

tomorrow in a theatre i'll probably see my final film of the year....'concussion'

brief thoughts on the movies that i've watched in theatres in the last week....

'carol' 'the danish girl' and 'joy'

imo there all hugely overrated and overhyped.....

in 'carol' i failed to see any kind of reason as to why the two principle actors would even be drawn to each other.....

'the danish girl' once again no connection....except a blah feeling towards eddie redmayne's character......and while alicia vikander is an actress i normally like....throughout this film i found myself thinking why would she put with everything that she had to during her marriage except for her own fame......i wouldn't have sold myself out and i would have been out the door......

'joy' even jennifer lawrence couldn't clean up this mess of movie with a "miracle mop"

but probably the most overrated film that i've seen this year is......

'star wars: the force awakens'

nothing new really added to the franchise.....except some new characters and droids being added in this film......a looking back movie...filled with nostalgia........now with all that being said....i have seen all of the 6 original films....the best of them being imo......'the empire strikes back'......will i see the next two?....yes....just to see if this film can explore something new in a galaxy far far way.....

my favorite film this week?.....'the big short'......look for it in a theatre.....or as a nominee and winner at this years academy awards...

and with that i'm ending my last post of the year to this board......

The Revenant - a fight for survival in the wilderness. Strong film and great acting by Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the strongest performances he's done in film, if not the strongest. I hope he gets an Oscar nom for this and wins. Wonderfully shot as well...

We saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens this afternoon and enjoy it very much! :D Love the new girl, Rey.
Not without a few sad moments, it was nevertheless satisfying.

Anomalisa- stop motion animation, cleverly made a strange film but kind of sweet and oddly funny.

Somewhere In Time - starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, it's about 2 people who have past life together and one is trying to get back to the other. Good film :)

Sleepless in Seattle. It's my New Years Eve movie. It never gets old.
